This is my first time joining a gym, I mainly joined for the classes as there were so many to choose from even with varying hours at work I can always attend at least one to two a week.nnI booked an induction to learn how to use the equipment and the PT Alex Thompson was wonderful, he put me right at ease and asked me what I wanted to achieve. We worked out that I need to improve my overall stamina and fitness and then we can look at introducing more things. The equipment he showed me is perfect for helping me get started and build a strong base for further improvements.nnI'm now confident attending classes or going to use the equipment on my own and I'm really enjoying the gym. The atmosphere is relaxed & friendly, the staff are always happy to help. The sauna is a welcome way to relax after a strenuous workout. The lockers are really good sized so there's plenty of space to store things and the changing rooms, toilets & showers are kept clean. The only thing that I'd like to see very minor improvement would be for a bench/seat to be in the shower cubicle as I like to get changed straight after my shower instead of walking back to the changing area ...but putting shoes or socks on standing always knocks me off balance nnMia the Zumba instructor is incredible! So full of excitement and her energy is contagious!
Yet again another Jd with a broken sauna. No visibility on when it was broken or when it’ll be fixed. Great range of equipment and considering it was a Monday no waiting for anything but lack of sauna and no real showers lets it down they use some weird spray mechanism, like you’re a dog after a muddy walk. ShamennAmended after response from JD: it wasn’t working this morning and had a sign on the door ‍
I stopped coming to this gym about 1 year ago because it got too cramped and the equipment was getting old. I joined again recently and was amazed to see the renovation. Brilliant gym and staff. I would like to request to increase the timings, perhaps even make it 24 hours, that would just be perfect.
You can’t leave these guys a bad review they get it deleted from google, they dont like owning up, Laura needs sacking, she’s a rude and cruel individual, she’s terminated a lot of members, including my contract! No wonder the gym is full off little kids and is a mess she’s the downfall of jd gyms, she was never liked at dw fitness in Oldham either, Iv been at this gym since 2016, Laura calls me starts getting rude and shouting saying why did you leave a comment about me on Facebook last year” you don’t know what I’m about and what I do” then Laura terminated my contract for no apparent reason, absolute joke! Who even runs these gyms? They need to take a closer look at what’s happening, I know a lot of people that won’t be joining until they get rid of Laura, it’s a shame really since she’s come its hit rock bottom.
Busier than my old gym but not overly busy to the point you feel overwhelmed. As someone who has gym anxiety I'm really happy to do my workouts here
