Been going for two years, will be looking for a new gym now.nPros: Modern equipment everywhere and covers everything. Staff are also very nice and helpful plus cheap membership.nCons: Very busy during peak time. Very hard to find any available machine good luck getting the smith machine. Members aren't very respectful. Constantly leaving weights everywhere or putting them back in awkward places putting 25kg weights in front of 5kg weights. Twice now I've had somebody take the weights I was using during a workout. I was nice about it but they weren't. Slamming the cable machine weights as well frequently means sometimes they are out of service.nnHalifax JD gym is better. They will suspend members that aren't respectful such as not putting the weights back.
Went to gym last night for a quick session, by the time I finished my session it was around 10:15pm. Changing room was locked. There wasn’t any staff available that time, had to leave my belongings behind.nWhen I went to collect my belongings today they gave it back but they snapped my pad lock. Very disappointed. I’m gonna cancel my membership
Went today for the first time gym is really nice. Loads of room and good equipment. Showers smelt really bad and the male cleaner came in 3 times while I was showering and changing. I'd asked him to give me 10 mins but he still came back 3 times.
Good equipment and atmosphere. Aside from that I have never seen the machines wiped down or cleaned. They should put cleaning stations around the gym so we can spray machines clean for use.
This is my first time joining a gym, I mainly joined for the classes as there were so many to choose from even with varying hours at work I can always attend at least one to two a week.nnI booked an induction to learn how to use the equipment and the PT Alex Thompson was wonderful, he put me right at ease and asked me what I wanted to achieve. We worked out that I need to improve my overall stamina and fitness and then we can look at introducing more things. The equipment he showed me is perfect for helping me get started and build a strong base for further improvements.nnI'm now confident attending classes or going to use the equipment on my own and I'm really enjoying the gym. The atmosphere is relaxed & friendly, the staff are always happy to help. The sauna is a welcome way to relax after a strenuous workout. The lockers are really good sized so there's plenty of space to store things and the changing rooms, toilets & showers are kept clean. The only thing that I'd like to see very minor improvement would be for a bench/seat to be in the shower cubicle as I like to get changed straight after my shower instead of walking back to the changing area ...but putting shoes or socks on standing always knocks me off balance nnMia the Zumba instructor is incredible! So full of excitement and her energy is contagious!nnThe gym has recently gone to 24hr opening which has meant the evening rush has slowed so it's much more enjoyable after work now
