Fantastic place to stop and shop for souvenirs, amazing sweet shop etc at this department store. Excellent free parking. Good cafe. The soup of the day was delicious.
No joke. An instructor in school mentioned Llanfair Pwllgwyngyll, and when I had a chance to visit Wales, I HAD to visit. It was worth everything to come to this place. So different from where I am from. The store itself had all kinds of great souvenirs that I eagerly purchased for my memories back home. I hope to return someday!
They removed the pick and mix that used to be there unfortunately. Now it's you just buy it in packets. The cafe is nice and have some high quality things. Prices were a little higher than I'd like but I guess everything is! Lots of huge sales on at the moment which I gladly took advantage of. The shirts/rug that I got are all soft shirts are very comfortable and the rug is nice and fluffy. It's also a cool place to go if you want to take a picture of the multiple signs displaying the longest place name in Wales. I'll attach a couple photos below.
The clothing style is a little old fashion. Brand clothings are more expensive than Cambridge. Free Parking available outside.
Clothes can seen bit expensive but you are paying for great service. Never met a unhappy member of staff everyone is very nice. Overall it's the place to go for gifts. Plus after shopping you can have a bite to eat or get a drink and well earned sit down. Normally I would moan about displaying Christmas things at start of October but it works in this shop. I wish I could shop here for Christmas or even work here. You will find gifts for everyone.
Well worth a visit, very reasonable prices on good named products
Great place, lots to see inside and a must for the longest place name in Wales I believe even had a harpist playing outside, lovely chap, purchased one of his CDs, beautiful sound.
Plenty of choice for Christmas gifts.. the sales team are all so friendly and nice...the cafe was great too. We had the turkey dinner and it was delicious .. again the cafe staff were lovely and helpful.. Will definitely be going there again soon .
The shop itself is great but this review is focusing on the cafe. The staff are woefully slow, persistently make mistakes. We waited 45 minutes from when 2 of our party were served to when the other two were served. The first 2 meals were cold by the time we got to eat them. And they still made mistakes. The breakfast is meant to be served until 11:30am but they consistently run out of stock and refuse to cook more after 11am. Their reasoning for this is "because we will be serving lunch soon." Therefore, they are not serving breakfast until 11:30am. On multiple occasions that we have visited, they've stopped breakfast completely at 11:00am or 11:15am. This is due to simple errors such as failure to maintain supply of stock. Running out of items such as mushrooms, fried bread and bacon. A better practice would be to cook enough supply up to 11:00am and then serve what is left until 11:30am. They clearly did not cook more stock after 10:30am.
Very popular Tourist attraction and good luck at pronouncing the name #Jet Connect Tours
