Outstanding customer service. Never had anything like it in my life. I’ve stayed, and eaten, all over Europe at some really classy places where wait staff would preempt my every need- but nothing comes close to the top notch customer service I received from the 3 lads standing behind the counter tonightbut particularly the one on frying duties. Cheesy chips were just as good as they were 15+ years ago when I used to go here for lunch.
Not bad. But last two visits the guys serving didn't listen to my preferences. Didn't toast the bun like I asked them to. Asked for lettuce onion and tomato von my burger...tomato was missing ..used to be better than this ....regarding value..again ..not bad .
This used to be my favourite place to get lunchtime sandwiches, since being taken over the quality is lacking. Got our order wrong, brown bread instead of white, one stale slice of bread, no salad in tuna salad sandwich, no mayonnaise on BLT. Chips were not as good as they used to be. Disappointing, won’t be using them again
Got a spicy chicken sandwich. The chicken was alright, had a good crunch but the spice and flavor just wasn't all there. Shame as I heard so many good things about this place. Willing to go back and try a proper burger next time and maybe update my review.
Verbally assaulted me in front of other customers over 40p because I told then they over charged me. Lost a loyal customer of 15 years and more when I told them what happened. Be careful of the pricing, they try to rip you off. Kid-friendliness: BELLIGERENT AND RUDE
Absolutely love Jakes! They Make The Best Chilli Con Carne Ever! Sadly they have stopped delivering in PL6 now so we are really missing being able to order from them! But definetly very well recommended!
Got food poisoning from there. Ordered cheesy chips and literally started feeling sick less than half an hour after I ate them.
Jake's is a fantastic eatery. Open when you need it most. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Reasonable prices fantastic portion's.Food: 5/5
Food was rubbish. Ordered 1/2lb cheeseburger with fried egg and got raw onions instead. Rubbish. Spicy chicken burger was breaded chicken escalope in cold bun and not apocy at all. Very disappointed. Will never come back nor I would recommend.
