Hidden gem, the views up here are great, sit with a coffee and a cake and soak in the view. The journey in was great too, through the big gatehouse and between the high prison walls. Staff nice and friendly. Didn't have a meal, but it looked reasonably priced no frills grub, would have had some if hadn't already eaten. Food: 5/5
This place is definitely worth a visit. Nice friendly staff, good honest food at a very reasonable price and fantastic views. Highly recommended.
We went for lunch today. Sat outside admiring the stunning views and after a while realised our order was taking a long time. Extremely apologetic staff explained the wind blew all of the orders from the kitchen and they thought they got them all but ours must have been missed! They quickly made our order and offered us free drinks and an upgrade to cheesy chips for the inconvenience. We assured them it wasn't an inconvenience, it just gave us more time to take in the views and relax! Then the most perfectly cooked huge bowl of cheesy chips showed up, along with delicious paninis, salad and coleslaw. We couldn't eat everything and staff boxed up the rest for us. As we left, staff were still apologising and offering us drinks, ice creams! We couldn't fault a thing. Customer service as it should be, delicious food and views to die for. We can't wait to return! Thank you ladies, you are amazing!!
Fantastic views across the harbour and bays. Verne Breakfast was pretty good. Prisoners were friendly and coffee great.

Very friendly welcome, limited menu but everything we had was very tasty & excellent value for money with great views!
It's a bit of a trek to get up there if you walk, but the views are worth it. Food was nice and is prepared by those from the prison to teach skills etc. There was a very long queue when we were there, so service was a little slow, but the view from the garden is amazing.
Lovely basic food and amazing cakes. Staff amazing and friendly. Worth going just for the views of Weymouth and beyond. Parking: Plenty of parking.
A brilliant hidden gem with excellent food at fair prices and the views from up there are second to none, that is in November, must be incredible when it's warm too.
Lovely views, polite staff. Cheap coffee and the food looked tasty we didn’t eat there. Worth having a wonder around the areas you can access whilst you are there. Very interesting.
