A great place for a coffee and cake (especially the scone with cream jam and a fresh strawberry). This place is in Sandsfoot gardens and castle. The view is wonderful and the atmosphere here is very relaxing. The gardens and castle are free. If you are doing the rodwell trail stop here for refreshments.

Sandsfoot castle is a beautiful spot, located on the coast there are views over the bay towards Portland. There is a well tended garden with a big fishpond, wide green lawns perfect for picnics. A cafe is open which sella the usual sandwich's, cream teas etc. With seating available. The castle its self is compact but interesting, lots of signs to show you what it looked like when of was complete. Over all well worth a visit, pick a sunny day and bring a picnic!

Great location and views of Portland harbour. Cafe is great, good prices and food is always excellent and staff are always friendly. Good place to stop for cyclists, and plenty of grass for kids to play.

Lovely place for a walk and very historical, kids enjoyed running around a castle and some great views

Pleased to find more than adequate tea and coffee and ice cream at reasonable prices. Lots of nice place to sit and enjoy the gorgeous views. The castle remains are small. The channel looks more like the Med. A really lovely spot
