Fantastic experience, very well laid out. Friendly and helpful staff. We had a great visit, I use a mobility scooter and my daughter uses a wheelchair. We we able to see almost everything. The one thing we would suggest is Subtitles and BSL Interpretation on the videos. Apart from that one suggestion it was a first class experience. We had cake and drinks in the cafe which were really delicious and again very helpful and friendly staff member! Definitely worth a visit. I would suggest if you are visiting more than one museum in Ironbridge, get the year pass, it is well worth it.
Enormous collection of decorative tiles. Many art works displayed perfectly in room after room. Large collection of encaustic tiles decorated by “burning in” colours as an inlay using coloured clays and an extensive collection of timeless geometric designs, artistic individual tiles, large colourful decorative tile panels, elaborate and protruding relief designs, entire rooms such as a tiled butchers, a pub, an underground station tunnel with train sound effects, highly desirable art deco tiles including high lustre technical finished tiles, islamic art inspired tiles and more…Most definitely worth the drive - a world class collection of decorative tiles.

Brilliant museum charting the history of Tile making in Jackfield with a lovely little Cafe situated under the museum offering soups, confectionary, drinks, tea's and coffee and cake. The Peacock cafe is dog friendly and has a very art deco appearance with friendly helpful staff and easy disabled access. Well worth a visit and they still make the most wonderful decorative tiles on site and decorative tiles can still be purchased within the museum.
What an interesting place. Lots of interesting tales. Well worth a visit. Best to buy the £33.00 ticket as it is welcome in many places around Ironbridge and is valid for 1 year.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
