Tired building badly in need of refurbishment. Our bedroom door wouldn't lock and the toilets in the public area are disgusting. Under-resourced - staff are overstretched and harassed. Many items missing from menu and wine list. The bar doesn't even stock the local island whiskies, despite many of the bedrooms being named after them! The only plus point is the stunning, ever changing view from the lounge windows.

The hotel is fine for one night or two. The spa (I don't know about the treatments, they are probably good) is nothing special, is the kind of spa/pool you'd find in a gym. The service was nice and the room, though old, was quite ok. Location is great.

A lovely location for this hotel only slightly let down but the ageing decor but I quite liked the feel. The service was excellent, as was the food (steamed mussels and a burger) and the pool and spa facilities were up to date. We'd stay again if we visit Mull in the future, which we are definitely planning to do!

Feels exactly like a 1970s dorm. Extremely dated and worn out decor. Windows are actually tinted and everything has a cheap institutional feel. Room smells overwhelmingly of detergents.Food overpriced, bad cafeteria fare. Ordered a medium sirloin and could barely chew it. Wine was absolutely disgusting. Good location if you came for day hikes to the castles (without a car) but not an enjoyable place in itself.

We stayed for two nights with the bed and breakfast package. The location is very close to the ferry - keep in mind there is nothing else around so you'll be eating at the restaurant. The rooms are spacious but the hotel layout is quite strange. There's only one long corridor that leads to all the rooms, and we happened to be at the end of this corridor. This meant quite a long Trek with our backs. The bar is well stocked and the provided breakfast is very good. The rooms, however, are quite dated. There are Windows but no screens, which provide great views but are a nuisance when trying to let fresh air in because of all the gnats in the afternoon. The room has an odd smell to it. The Spar itself was a nice surprise, however we only took advantage of the pool, steam room, and outdoor hot tub. Overall I would recommend the hotel, however it is in much need of modernization.
