Amazing company! Pushing inovation to its very edge while not forgetting their core principles. Excellent opportunity for personal growth and cultural exposure. The guys at Invasion know what they’re doing and have created a company with a foundation of empathy and stewardship.

I went in August to camp c in Chiang Mai I paid £699 plus an extra £700 for flights for our mini break by the beach to be changed at the last minute causing all sorts of concern amongst the group. The email we were sent explained that invasion had run out of funds and there would be a change to the services provided. Raising these concerns with the reps onsite, they tried to sell this off as an upgrade despite all the evidence we had that suggested the exact opposite. However, I didn't blame the reps who were there with us, but rather the management of Invasion for sending us miles away from home in the hopes that the deposits from the 2018 intakes would see us through in Thailand. The newer accommodation (greenway resort Hua Hin) that they put us in was disgusting, compared to the accommodation we were supposed to be in in Cha-Am. One of the girls found a dead frog in her bed that looked as if it had been decaying there for a while. When we arrived, there was no wifi as they didn't have a router functional enough to accommodate the 60 of us that travelled with Invasion. The last correspondence I had with my parents was one explaining that I was being reaccomodated miles from our original destination, and I could not contact them for the 14 or so hours we were on the bus, or the consecutive 7 hours we spent at the accommodation before making our way into Hua Hin centre (30 minute drive from our resort). I found the experience up until this to be quite enjoyable, but it's clear the financial difficulties Invasion faced soured the experience. The kicker, is that the tefl certificate I have been provided with is fake as the company that issued it, are not the company who assessed my work. Worryingly they are still operational and advising young people partaking in their camps in 2018 that a visa is not required to volunteer to teach in Thailand when the Thai embassy have clarified that it is. Months have passed since this experience and in that time they've blocked people on social media, not paid any outstanding debts to their previous suppliers and employees, and offered no apology or compensation for the stress endured by their participants in August during the last week of their programme. They take advantage of young people and milk them for everything they have. Extra costs such as the Bangkok tour at £100 when most of the stuff on the itinerary in bangkok was free to see. They even tried to sell me this numerous times whilst I was there despite saying many times that I did not want to. Instead I went to the Unicorn cafe and seen some sights all for under £15 because i worked out the local BTS system which is very easy to use. If you book this, be sure that it is for you, because the company are unapologetic and quite frankly, a scam. Please see "camp thailand fiasco support" on Facebook which has over 300 members effected in the same ways across the several different camps.
