Ordered two burgers for me and my wife. When they arrived we found the burger buns were rock solid. After I raised that to the waiter he replied we have to fight for the burger bun as they had only one more left. What sort of reply is that and why would you serve food like that in first place?

A Greene King pub in Stanford le Hope. The usual sort of fare. They have a big patio out back which is pleasant. Found the inside rather dark and dingy. Food was fine and the beer was ok. Regular pub food. Burgers and fried things all out of a box. Reasonable price for a quick lunch for two.

Nice VIP seating area. I enjoyed my butternut squash and sweet potato Christmas roast.
