Amazing Indian food! Don't be discouraged by the obscurity of the restaurant. You will be richly rewarded with fairly priced and great tasting food!
Glad I stumbled upon this place. I've been here once before for a snack and now had a proper meal. The starter stole the show pic but the entire meal was excellent. Service with a smile and care. Would definitely go back. Highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Excellent vegetarian options.
The environment there is quite lovely. The food there is one of the best indian food i ever had. This is an authentic indian cuisine if you are looking for one tbh. Great service and after the order food came on the table with in 20mins. Lasty they have best indian dessert called kulfi. I had a great experience there.
The food is delicious. The space is also best, When you get down the steps you find a lovely dark and elegant space. The service was wonderful.
have been to The India Best of the City Indian Restaurant many times, bringing different friends. We have always loved our knowledge. It has been recommended to me by a member of an Indian family and I can confirm that the food is truly authentic to that of India. I felt like I was back home. I would definitely recommend it. Many thanks to the dear staff working there. We'll be back soon:
Ordered online. Said they gave it to another customer. Called the customer and they had the correct order. Found my order and when I checked it was wrong. Yikes, wasted so much time. Never again. EDIT: The portions are tiny half filled container
Incredible meal. Everything was so tasty, great flavours and ingredients. Interesting spin on some classic dishes and some I’d never heard of before. Small but varied and well thought out menu with something for everyone including plenty of vegan/ vegetarian choices. Staff were charming, attentive and non intrusive. We spent the whole night here relaxed. The atmosphere, plates, decor and music were great as was the drink selection.
The food is amazing. The space is also amazing, it is tucked back in a courtyard. When you get down the steps you find a lovely dark and elegant space. The service was impeccable.
The food was very nice! We ordered a menu with a starter and main course and everything was delicious. Food was plenty and the staff was super friendly, they provides the high service with on time. The restaurant's interior was very nice. Highly recommended!
For anyone planning to come to this restaurant, please reconsider. Firstly, do not eat the appetisers they place on your table, it’s not given as good will. You will be charged £6. Furthermore, we were informed by the waiter that they accept taste cards, however when making the payment, the manager refused to take it, stating he was not aware !! Let me not even start on the food, make your own curry at home. Premium price for low quality food. We Ordered a lamb curry and received a chicken one. Didn’t want to leave a bad review, but as we were not listened to when talking about the issues we had, we thought it would be best others knew about the service & restaurant
