If you're looking for a station that's quiet and free of crowds, this is the place for you. However, the view isn't great since you're mostly surrounded by buildings. There also aren't any staff on hand in case you need help, so keep that in mind before your visit.
I really enjoy using the overground line. This station has steps up as the platform is quite high above ground level. Good lifts for elderly and disabled access. Platform is really clean and tidy but could do with some more seating along the platform, but TFL are doing a great job with our transport system and this station is kept very nicely.
Beautiful area, arranged and clean stops a few minutes from the Clapham Junnstion with the overflow. The Milten Keynes train that goes through is the shortest link between Balham and Shepherds Bush I recommend! 5 stars!
Imperial Wharf is a railway station located in Fulham in south-west London on the West London Line and in common with many stations has given rise to its own sub-district name Imperial Wharf, which is to some minds synonymous with Chelsea Harbour. The station is between West Brompton and Clapham Junction stations and services are provided by London Overground and Southern. The station opened on Sunday 27 September 2009 and is managed by London Overground Calls for a station here were met in 2005 with a fully costed station and signalling at £3 million, of which £1.7 million had already been provided by Berkeley Homes Plc through its St George upmarket London-focused subsidiary, the developer of the Imperial Wharf site, leaving a funding shortfall of £1.3 million. In October 2007, Hammersmith and Fulham Council announced that St George Homes had agreed to provide another £1.2 million, roughly enough to complete the project. It is also reported that the planning permission for the whole of the Imperial Wharf development was only given on the basis that a station was built.[citation needed] The station secured full funding on 28 April 2008. The station opened on Sunday 27 September 2009, in a ceremony attended by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. The new station provides an important link for the Sands End area to Clapham Junction station in the south of London and northwards towards Willesden Junction station. This will be particularly important as the area is further developed by both private and public organisations. This investment includes a new residential development called "The Gallery" which has been started on recently cleared land next to the Laura Ashley offices, between Bagleys Lane and Elbe Street.
The elevator is very dirty. I ask the people in charge of it to take care of it, because it is shameful that it is located in an upscale area and it is so filthy.
When you at the ticket level the timetable is completely different to the on the platform, that means miss of trains or wrong reschedule. Staff not helpful at all, they prefer not to be disturbed while watching movie or scrolling down the phone. Just ridiculous
Very clean overground station. The duration between trains is a tad large in the overground and they get cancelled often.
Well located and good access to Overground however as previous comments.. Could do much better considering the surroundings.
The station is inefficient, the timetable on this line is unsuitable during peak times. Leaving the station in peak times is a struggle as the stairs are not wide enough - when it rains you get drenched as the gutter is poor and drainage from the stairs just terrible, water splashes up from loose tiles. Appalling, needs extra exit.
Stupidly designed station, even for 2007. Whilst both lifts and a staircase are provided to get to both platforms, you have to go through the ticket barriers twice to switch between platforms, which can charge you on Oyster/contactless. I'm one staring this station just because of that.
