I have been using Ideal Technology for around 4 years now, and have bought perhaps 6 PCs both for use in my business and at home. I have always received excellent advise on what specs to go for. They never try to oversell, but offer a good PC appropriate to my budget and requirements. The PCs function well and are still going strong. I had a small issue with one, and this was resolved quickly and with no-fuss whatsoever. I dread to think how long it would have taken to sort out had bought from one of the larger well known chains. I have confidence that they are able to support me and my business should the need arise. This re-assurance is important to me as my online business relies on a having stable IT system. I recommend this company for both home and business customers.

My family and I have been using Ideal for many years now. They have always been very friendly and helpful. It is good to be able trust someone that explains everything and doesn't try to overcharge. I would totally recommend this company.

Local and Personal. I approached Idea Technology (ITEC) in Blackheath, near Birmingham, to supply me with a high spec desktop PC. I understand they are a local business, founded by four people who were unhappy with the way PC World was telling them, as employees, to treat its customers. I only needed the processor tower, as I have a good screen and printer. One of their four partners, Chris, took great trouble to understand the machine that I wanted, to exactly suit my needs, which included Flight Simulator and office work. They worked to my budget, which was a little under £1k. At every stage they delivered what they promised, kept to agreed deadlines and were extremely personal in the service. I took my old machine in to have my data migrated to the new one, and that was done in great detail, for free. Programs such as MS Office, Nero and my virus checker were all re-installed. All my messages in Outlook express were converted to Outlook at my request. All my Internet and Desktop favourites were faithfully moved to the new machine. I had a post-delivery problem with a Palm device that I back up onto the PC and I was invited into the workshop at the unit at Blackheath to spend an hour with their techie sorting the problem. Again no charge was made. I would definitely recommend ITEC as good value, and especially for the personal service which you do not get with the big players in the market.
