App works is more expensive vs pay machine ?
This has now changed to pay and display ! No matter whether you are mobile or disabled you have to find a machine and then navigate through it to get a ticket to display. Then go back to your car, even if disabled, and place the ticket on the dashboard the right way up ! For some reason the machine requires your reg number ! If you buy 2 hours and stay longer then I presume you are fined ! This car park only deserves one star due to its closeness to John Lewis. Could the manager of the car park please sort out a workable system that is understood by young and old alike. Await a reasonable response please.
Never come back to this car pack, Spaces are too small, so people try to park away from columns, leaving little space to park. There are not signals for parent & child spaces, or if even there are spaces.
Okay does what it says on the tin but suffers from poor internal road layout. Car park spaces are small, okay for Morris Minors, as a result spaces not next to support columns are snapped up first. Prices are okay and convenient for many shops.
I got caught out with the new parking system today by parking and assuming I pay on return as usual! Nice yellow ticket on my car when I got back Not enough clear signage in my opinion, only a small sign which you could easily miss and new machines seem to have a problem with card payments while I was still trying to pay for my parking without realising the damage had been done. I also think its overly complicated instructions are ridiculous, I can see this causing chaos!
Went from bad to terrible! They changed the pay system which was camera based and you payed in the end to a machine system where you have to pay ahead, and many of the machines are not working! So I had to park and pay on the level above, had to climb up a one way system staircase where all the hand sanitizer dispensers we're empty.... I think next time I'd rather park further away and enjoy a nice safe walk instead!
The most ridiculously designed car park I have ever come across. The problem is that the spaces are divided in to sections of three with each if the outer spaces of 3 being bounded by a concrete post. In effect this means that EVERYBODY parks in the middle space while the poor late comers are forced to negotiate in to one of the other side spaces with little room to manoeuvre. Even if you can do it the concrete post will prevent you opening either the driver or passenger door. They claim a capacity of over 600, more like 200 given the posts. Stupid, stupid, stupid design. Reduce the 3 spaces to 2 and allow people to park sensibly.
Very conveniently placed for the town centre. Parking bays a quite tight but parking is available multi-level so usually plenty of space. Beware the payment stations which recognises your numberplate. People always seem to struggle with the touchscreen.
The change to pay and display is rubbish and so unhelpful. The old system of pay when you leave was fantastic. Only saving grace is the bridge over to M&S.
This place had a good parking system based on cameras. They replaced it with a pay and display system that doesn't work, the ground floor machines didn't work at all, the hand sanitiser dispensers were empty... Nice going Welwyn Hatfield council!
