Hull and East Riding museum on high st hull old town is a fascinating insight to the ancient history of the people animals and way of life of the area. Some area of the museum are closed due to current covid restrictions as of 21st May 2021 but nevertheless the museum is well worth a visit
Fun and interesting museum. Love all the museum's down there but only had time for one this visit so it was the one nearest the entrance! Highlights include the wooley mammoth and the Roman in the bath!
Good couple hours spent in museum worth a look
A very good museum, with great artifacts. As you walk in, a mammoth stands tall, and the museum further has many interesting artifacts and information on the history of the area. The photograph is of a small statuette of the god Mercury, found in the Roman section of the museum.
Lots of interesting things to look at. Free entrance.
For a place that is free, great for a little walk around. Good for the kids and right next to other museums. Also only a short walk from the city centre, the deep and a lot of food places.
Great place for a visit. Items and exhibits going back to prehistoric times. Don't miss the Roman mosaics.
A very interesting and educational place to go in Hull, certainly a lot packed into a small space! :
