I had the pleasure of working with Lynne Cooper when setting up my HSBC bank account in the UK Newcastle . Her guidance throughout the process was invaluable. Absolutely awful customer service. Trying to sort out a simple direct debit issue, this is now my 3rd visit. Seated in a booth and asked to wait, then completely forgotten about. 30 minutes and still waiting, and seeing other customers getting served before me.
I decided to go to the bank today to handle some issues I've had regarding my visa today. I would have never imagined that despite me explaining myself multiple times to multiple people hardly anyone understood my situation and most of them brushed me off saying they were not sure. Let me add as a student and a customer to your bank, it is not my duty to be knowledgeable of the services you provide but it is yours. If you yourself have no idea in how to handle your customer service issues do not take it out on the customer. As I was asked to go to the counter to handle my problem, the staff told me that they would sort it out but to my surprise again, I was met with the same issue and not only that, as I was trying to explain the information passed on to me by the staff before hand, I was rudely interrupted by this elderly plump staff member at the counter, with her voiced raised and her face turning red, I was repeatedly shouted at for something that was not at all my fault. The utter disgust I had regarding the behaviour and conduct of the staff of this branch today was rather appalling and never would I have thought that people that are part of the services team would be so impatient,rude, ignorant and utterly idiosyncratic.
Ryan callander was such a helpful chap. I was lucky due to staff and how they handled my request and get me to the account in no time.
I have taken my daughter to open student account and I am glad I selected HSBC. They helped me on same day to open account and Mosin was more than helpful and kind to help with phone charger. Great service 5 star.
I visited the HSBC branch at 110 Grey St, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 6JG today, and wished to speak to a Manager. At the front desk a lady called Emma confirmed she is a senior and can help me. I am a first direct customer and HSBC are both linked. Emma answered all my questions with a smile on her face. She was very professional and friendly and I felt very happy! Also, the other bank colleagues in the branch are very helpful. The branch has a wonderful atmosphere.
All staff are lovely and helpful except the one who on the front desk who stares at me until I start speaking on my two visits to the branch for opening an account. A smile and a hello would go a long way I think. Leaves a bad taste when you leave the bank. Edit: looked at the comments after I posted :D not the first time this is happening.
Great support from Ryan at this HSBC branch! Came for sorting an easy issue and asked more unrelated technical questions which were out of the scope of this appointment yet Ryan didn't hesitate to help out and guided me in the procedures ! Really appreciated guidance from Ryan thanks again!
Staff are very helpful. Really appreciate their help to settle our account.
