Got redirected In-branch to deal with a Pension trust, which isn't usually done in branch but the staff were very helpful and accommodating of a rather odd situation. Offered some nice advise on the side and saw branch staff volunteering to help those in a long line deal with their transactions on the machines in the branch.
There always seems to be issue at this branch. If it’s not staff members writing incorrect digits down and money going missing, it’s being spoken to rudely by the staff member who wouldn’t let me pay money into my husbands account since a rule change in 2022… even though I’ve done it at this branch several times since 2022. Inconsistent processes within this branch are the staff members problems, not mine so I don’t expect to be spoken to so rudely when I simply question why I suddenly can’t pay money in. I wasn’t provided with an alternative which becomes extremely tricky as the shop is open short hours per day and my husband works full time, so can’t get there.nWhen she served the next customer, who asked how she was she barely even looked at him and he got an eye brow raise, and no surprise she continued to be as unpleasant.nnJohn seems to be the only one actually willing to help customers and is very pleasant to every one. He tried to find a way to help me on this occasion and though he was unable to, I appreciate him trying either way! He also was the one who tracked down the missing money a few months ago too, so thank you to him!
It's difficult to be positive about this customer experience. The branch is only open from 9:30 to 3:30pm. When I arrive before three and the opening line from the staff is that I should come back after the bank holiday. That's not a good look. Can I book a time slot on Tuesday then? No!nnI'm at this branch because my closer Walton branch was closed and my online app was playing up. These things aren't my fault.nnThey did restart the app but without explaining why they'd blocked it.nnWe should not be asked to lower our expectations this far.
Fantastic service from Dawn who went above and beyond to assist me today. Took the time to listen and quickly found a solution. A pleasant change from having to deal with the telephone banking team who have come up woefully short on every occasion I have had to deal with them.
Not specific for branch but for whole company, I forgot my card at home and my card isn’t saved on my keyboard so I asked support if I can verify it’s me and get it but they said it’s a risk of security, it’s my account I don’t care if it’s stolen that’s on me, don’t dictate what I want to do.
