I've been using this branch off and on for the last two and a half years, primarily helping my elderly Dad who is a customer of the bank. Firstly I'd like to say that Wendy surname unknown is a gem. Proper old school who really knows her stuff and is very helpful. On the flip side the cashiers are a very difficult team to deal with. I find them condescending and, frankly, unhelpful in the extreme. Perhaps they are working in an environment set up to drive people online? Who knows.
I went into the saint annes branch today with a £5 check that British gas had sent me. ..I won't go into how discusting I was treated and how they refused to cash my check although I had at least six forms of i.d ...the woman behind the counter was arrogant, smug ,rude and simply downright unhelpful, I dont even want to give them 1 star...I would not encourage ANYONE to use HSBC and I shall tell family and friends the place is unhelpful and they treat customers with 0 respect..
