Brilliant service from a young girl behind the bar. Such a quiet girl but gets on with her job. We were served very quickly and drinks were spot on. Asked for her name, I think she said Daisy. Great service!
First visited Dec '19 :Visited about 10am on Christmas eve. It was quiet, ordered a traditional breakfast and an American breakfast. 10 minute wait which is acceptable but it seems mine was left out while my wife's was still being cooked so not as hot as I would like.. As always you can't knock a spoons brekkies for the price. First time visit and would visit again. Very clean, staff always seen on the move cleaning tables quickly.n*UPDATE Oct '23 : Calledbin while passing through for a quick lunch. Ordered 2 crispy chicken burgers. Arrived very quickly and also hot and they were very nice. Smaller plates than normal meals but as it was only a quick lunch snack it was still a good size. Quite busy but it's a spoons so execpected. Great food & great service .
Absolutely shocking reception, rude and dismisive. We had a cold breakfast thrown at us and when we complained we were met with a 'couldn't care less' attitude by the manager. I asked for my money back which was slung across the counter by the manager who walked away. No attempt at reconciliation. Dreadful advert for what could be a nice place. Staff training sorely needed.
Well it’s a Wetherspoons, so you know what to expect if you have ever been to one before. We went for breakfast two days on the run whilst staying at a hotel in Hoylake. The traditional breakfast was nicely cooked and served on a hot plate which is good. Had refill hot drinks which were also good. There were lots of different seating options, we chose cosy areas. As always, there was some nice local history to look at on the walls and the one off carpet to admire for those of you that don’t know this, the carpets are made especially for each pub. The staff were lovely guys one of which actually noticed that we were back for a second day.
Just got home after a miserable excuse of fish and chips today at Wetherspoons Hoylake. The fish was almost impossible to find inside the over cooked brittle batter. It was a table of four with only one person receiving a decent piece of fish. Everything else was good, but never again would I go there on a Ftiday for our fish and chip dinner.
