Went in to collect the items that were promised by the rep for opening an account and also had details of a kitchen I was looking to have priced, but did not get that far. Was told that I had to have been in the day before to collect the items that were promised. Probably just an internal communication problem. Post initial review: Issue was sorted, so fair play for putting it right.
Extremely poor customer service. We spent 2 weeks calling every other day just to get in touch with them and book a survey. We finally managed to get someone in and they provided some preliminary plans. That’s the last we heard from them. We keep chasing them to have un update and to get this project going however there is no response from Howdens; no emails, no phone calls, no follow up, nothing, nada. This is a very bizarre and un-businesslike behaviour and since Howdens unresponsiveness is hindering the realisation of our kitchen project we have now decided to proceed with a competitor.
Rude and unpleasant Customer Service. AVOID. A kitchen fitter told me they used to be good but presumably with the increased demand for rennovation supplies as a result of lockdown, their Customer service has fallen off a cliff, sadly not literally. I actually overheard 'Melissa/Melinda' telling another member of staff to tell me that she wasn't there when I wanted to enquire about a kitchen I was thinking of buying from them. Apparently I was a nuisance in wanting to know details about their products! Their entire marketing strategy seems to be centred around weighty catalogues, and their 'showroom' is a joke. My carpenter then had exactly the same experience a fortnight later. Avoid like the plague and take your business literally anywhere else.
David planned a superb kitchen for us. He did not copy the existing layout, but took the time and trouble to design it from scratch. We are very pleased with the result and the price, which was what he quoted. I highly recommend the Salfords branch of Howdens – all the staff have been very helpful. As a buy-to-let landlord I will be using them again for our next kitchen refit.
Many thanks to David at Howdens for the design work and input for our new kitchen, and for bearing with us over its many iterations. A professional service which delivered a high quality product. We are very pleased with the kitchen; it has transformed our living space.
Friendly staff, great Kitchens, Flooring, and they sell internal and external doors!
Designer called Dave quoted me £25,000 without discount for a 13 unit shaker kitchen :L With a 67% discount and no worktops it’s still worked out to be about 500-600 a unit! What a joke
