Our experience with this company has been an unfortunate one to say the least. They offer a design and measuring service, but do not stand by those measurements when things go wrong, which in our case is precisely what happened. The kitchen plan submitted to us looked absolutely fine. However when the kitchen was fitted it was evident that there had been some serious errors in the measurements resulting in what has proved to be a nightmare that we now have to live with. After contacting customer services we were informed that the design and measuring service is complementary and all measurements should be checked by the customer prior to installation!!!! In short they have accepted no responsibility whatsoever. Shame on them!! If I had wanted to be responsible for the design and measuring myself I would have gone to a different company and bought units of a far superior quality for less cost - and had much more choice to boot. Howdens? Never again!
We are very pleased with the kitchen recently fitted. The quality of the units is very good and the price reasonable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. especially Barry who went beyond the call of duty.
Refused to tell me a price of a door because I'm not a cowboy in a white van. Fortunately plenty of other dealers aren't so arrogant.
Helpful staff just issues with the car park and location. Difficult to park and busy road to get to unit.

Massive thank you to these generous people for donating units to Tender Paws Cat Rescue for our isolation unit. We put out a plea as we needed some units but are always playing catch up with our vet bills and we thought someone might have donated an old kitchen they were pulling out. Howdens jumped at the chance of helping us out with some lovely units! What a wonderful caring company
Used before four time we are happy so fifth time think to use again one of the staff came two weeks ago to measure the kitchen and after couple of days we go to warehouse for plan but no response we keep ringing for plan and price but no response very despointed with the service this time. Wait another couple of days if no than godhead with another company.
Just had new kitchen and utility room provided by Howdens. In terms of price, they worked out 20% cheaper than superstores for the basic units, sinks, and worktops. But even better than this, this improved to 30% plus cheaper with the deal on the oven hob, microwave and dishwasher was factored in. So much, much cheaper. The units were available immediately from stock, arrived already built saving the installers loads of time and seem to be of equivalent standard/ quality to our old Magnum shaker install. The install design service was outstanding with the final design perfectly suited to our space limitations and our clearly expressed, but often changed, requirements. So cheaper, equivalent quality to a previous premium installation and excellent customer handling and patience. Any downsides? No, non, niet, nien.... simply brilliant and it left enough savings to pay for the flooring and their installation. Note the in-house boiler tap offered gives water at about 95 deg C which is hot for black coffee but maybe may be too cool for some if you add milk, but hey I'm nit picking here and I simply zap it in my free microwave for 15 secs!!!!!⁶
This branch is the most worse branch that I have ever seen in the uk . The prices was too high then as a branch about £200 different 6 units A lot of stuff was missing doors hinges and 2 door different size and one door missing and one door difference style 1 had to return to the branch 4 times . The staff unhelpful and unprofessionals to deal with a customer’s not really happy Kevin
Good but disappointed with the poor quality of the stainless steel kitchen sink. Advise to check before buying to avoid having to sort out problems later. i.e. another sink.
