Avoid if possible. The hospital car park uses the despicable One Parking Solution. Motorists displaying a Blue Badge are only allowed 3 hours parking. If the BB clock isn't set and displayed, or if you stay over 3 hours, you will get a £60 fine. All other vehicles are allowed unlimited free parking. This is a breach of the Disability Discrimination Act. The hospital receptionists are unhelpful and dismissive and make you feel unwelcome.
I went for a steroid injection on Monday. Dr Ahmed's team at the Hove Polyclinic were so welcoming, thoughtful and caring. I was blown away by the level of support and kindness. They were thoughtful about everything from what you'd like to be called during your time there, to offering a wide selection of herbal tea post injection. I felt a bit dizzy during after the procedure and they looked after me so well until I felt well enough to go. I've never felt so looked after and wish I could book in again without the steroids next time! Oh and the injection has worked so well for my pain too. Thank you so much amazing team.
I wish I could rate this place higher. I’ve been to a lot of hospitals & clinics and Hove Polyclinic blows the rest out of the water. The layout is intuitive and accessible to me. The staff are kind. In all my visits I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than 45 minutes - even for an x Ray. The seating is well spaced and every clinician I’ve seen wears a mask- while also making me feel safe and welcome. I’m immensely grateful to this clinic and would recommend it to anyone in the area - especially those with kids, health anxiety, older family, or complex needs. The atmosphere is the calmest I’ve experienced in any medical building. I wish more clinics, hospitals, and surgeries were like this.
A £25 40-mile round trip on trains, taxis and buses was a very brief ultrasound scan. Can't really fault the staff but just had a feeling of being all a bit rushed. I was only in the room five mins when it said on my form 15 minutes to an hour. A good place though. Staff were fairly friendly.
Got the date for my blood test wrong. Wonderful staff at reception changed it to save me coming back next day. Always a positive experience at the polyclinic. Big thanks to Becky
There aren’t enough positive words to describe the experience I had at the rheumatology department at HOVE Polyclinic the 3rd of August. So professional, caring, patient compassionate, nothing too much trouble and the service and tests I received were absolutely fantastic I couldn’t be more satisfied and grateful. I’ve received the follow-up letter describing all the care and treatments. Thank you very much, rheumatology department Hove polyclinic Mary Lanzarotto
Was sent for an x ray by my GP , seen immediately and dealt with sympathetically and efficiently. Staff very nice and the building very clean and comfortable
Nice clean and organised. I am deaf in one in with bad tinnitus in both but found the volumes used very satisfactory in xray.
Have always had excellent care from various departments based within the Hove Polyclinic, but visitor's please beware! H.P are now employing the services of One Parking Solution to monitor their car parks. Yesterday I parked in a disabled bay and duly displayed my disabled badge only to return from having an x-ray to find a parking ticket on my windscreen. Total turn around time from parking up to returning to my car 15 minutes. Apparently as I did not have the clock set on my blue badge I broke the OPS laws. Now £60.00 poorer. I will not be coming here ever again. Reviews on OPS are absolutely horrendous and I think it is absolutely disgusting that H.P. are involved with these bunch of crooks.
It took 5 telephone calls over 2 days to get answered. Offered a booking one week ahead. Was told each booking was every 15 mins and the clinic closed for lunch! In my practice it took 2 mins to take a blood sample. If this was a business it would not survive and don't blame Covid.
