We went to this shop for a sampling session and it was a great day. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I would definitely recommend this shop!! Great selection of products as well.
I’ve use the shop a few times but won’t be using it anymore! The overpriced goods in the store a ridiculously out of reach for most people, you can find the same or very similar products for half the money that they ask! It’s supposed to be for health and well-being, but how can you feel well about spending so much money on overinflated goods? Also some of the staff do not adhere to the hands face space rules that are a legal requirement in the UK during this pandemic! I would not feel confident about consuming edibles that have been handled by people who do not adhere to government guidelines! Also I feel the need to mention many of the products have expired or are reaching their expiry dates, please shop elsewhere!
Great local grocer and health food shop. The bread they keep in stock is amazing. Do yourself a favour and grab the rosemary and sea salt sour dough. Now open Sunday as well which is great. They also have a good range of baby essentials.
I will not shop in this place again. The staff do not all wear masks despite this being the law and widespread awareness of droplet and aerosol transmission. Nor do the people on the till use hand sanitser before handling your produce. Today, one with a mask, one without one who was moving around the shop and someone replenishing produce who hastily pulled their mask from their chin as I walked past. Last time, one unmasked staff on the till claimed she was behind a perspex screen so did not have to wear a mask, but as I had walked towards the till, she had turned to the side of the screen to shout to a customer behind me, shouting, maskless directly at me. Utterly irreponsible and unlawful behaviour during this pandemic. I needed tahini, not coronavirus.
Usually I balk when I think of using this shop owing to previous experiences off handedness, over pricing despite living locally and the potential convenience factor. Discrimination against cash users adds to the reasons to prefer a more balanced approach to the customer experience so I'm voting with my wallet and shopping else where.
Fantastic range of foods, for someone who struggles because of several intolerances i couldn't believe the number of foods i could buy! Will definitely be returning. Would note that the staff weren't too friendly which was a shame.
Very good coffee. Good food, nice ambience and good service.
Independent. Good choice of #gf #vegan #alternative #complimentary etc., with friendly, helpful staff. A little expensive sometimes.
Great to have a health food shop on Portland Road - love the bread here. They will also order in stuff if they haven't got something you like.
