Finally I found a restaurant with authentic taste in Scotland.Offering a buffet meal with various kinds of foods and deserts at the price of £16.99. In my opinion it's much worth for that money. Location- Ground floor, Designer outlet, Livingston.
Always good except from the most recent time me and my daughter and another couple we met at the restaurant to catch up after a long period all came away with food poisoning, the restaurant claimed they had heard nothing from other customers, although myself and my daughter and 2 adults from a separate household with no prior contact for atleast 3 weeks came away with the same symptoms of food poisoning my partner did not get food poisoning but we have different food tastes so didn't eat the same foods Either way the restaurant denied all knowledge although from some googling and area Facebook groups it seems to not be the first time the restaurant has swept illness under the rug. Giving three stars because we've eaten here alot and never had an issue but this issue is enough to make us choose a different restaurant in future. The only reason I'm writing a review atall is because the meal cost me £120 and it was both mine and my daughters birthday weekend so essentially I paid £120 for the pleasure of food poisoning for mine and my daughters birthday.
Been here a number of times when we are in the area. The food is always good and there is always plenty of it too. There is always something there to satisfy almost anyone's taste, even my picky son and that takes some going. Always good for trying something new as you can take a little of something to try. Soft drinks are refillable/unlimited so always got something to wash it all down with. Prices are very good as well.
Best world buffet in region big versatile selection from pizza, Sunday roast... Sushi... Indian... Etc great service and pleasant staff we travel 30 min we'll worth the visit. We only have one niggle it's just some of the hot plates are not hot enough you tend to get lukewarm items. You can eat and enjoy it though but prefer hot. Parking: Shopping centre parking Wheelchair accessibility: Fantastic access
Bit pricey at the weekends. Especially in these times. But food is great. Wean loved the grub and ice-cream too. And the Sunday roast. Spot on. Well done guys.only complaint is the price. But it is worth it
I come here regularly I actually have to go an hour out of my way but it's totally worth it. Love the food great selection. Some of the waiters are very quiet and slightly off-putting sometimes even with polite small talk, please thankyou have a good day you will sometimes not get a reply but hasn't put me off I would just say that's one small downside. Another suggestion I would make us to clear away desserts last, I have been a couple of times when the deserts where being cleared away at 8pm while I was still eating mains a good hour before closing when it was still busy. Again definitely hasn't put me off but would be a good improvement. Thankyou x
Food is decent, a bit better than most buffets. Good selection as well. Only really let down by the pricing, particularly for kids, anyone over 10 pays adult prices, that's a lot when you have kids 11 and 14 who really don't eat a lot, I almost had to eat myself sick to make it even remotely good value it still wasn'tFood: 4/5
I'd read some really conflicting reviews of this restaurant, but my family and I really enjoyed our meals. There's lots to choose from and the food was fresh and hot. I'd recommend it to other families and would definitely return in the future.
Our last visit to Hot Flame really put us off going again but since we were passing through Livingston we decided to give it another chance and this time the food was delicious as per usual. The salmon and chicken Teppanyaki are standouts each and every time as are the Burgers it's just a shame you can only have one each time you go up and as it takes about 5 minutes wait for each food it isn't ideal. Ice cream was fantastic too.
