Huge thanks to everyone at Liskeard MIU this morning, especially Amy who was the nurse in charge of my care. I was seen immediately on entering the unit and my care was exemplary the whole time I was there. 90 minutes start to finish including X-rays. Every single person I saw was lovely, friendly and professional. You’re doing a great job - all of you and many thanks for my care today.
After tripping up and fracturing my ankle whilst on holiday in Cornwall I ended up here in Liskeard community hospital. The receptionist wasn't very friendly, but the rest of the staff were very pleasant and efficient. My only gripe is that they did not forward anything onto my doctor in other words it's all very well telling you that you have a fractured ankle, but neither I or my doctor has seen the X-ray ,
Lovely local cottage hospital. Very fortunate to have it. I go there mainly for my audiology appointments. Every time, the reception staff and audiologists have always been friendly and helpful, bar one. Parking can be frustrating but it's better than some.
Took someone for an appointment with Podiatry Dept on 5/4/23........A totally wonderful experience. All Staff very friendly and totally professional. Special thanks to Becky Derry and Josie for their incredible patience, empathy, gentleness and general kindness. A quality standard of care all round. Couldn't thank them enough!!
First nurse I saw in the minor injuries unit was lovely! She told me to come back as soon as my injury got worse so I did the next day. Was a different nurse and she was absolutely horrible, didn't wear any gloves. Didn't give me a warning before jabbing me in the hand. I suffer with severe anxiety, Therefore needed my parent with me and she would not allow her in. She was asking me loads of questions that I didn't know the answers too and couldn't answer due to me having a panic attack caused by her. I was telling her to just let my mum in with me so she can help answer the questions and she basically fobbed me off and said I was fine. I don't think I've ever heard a worse experience with a nurse. Completely messed up my day as I now cannot stop shaking . I always believed that they were there to help and reassure you, obviously not. I understand that times are hard but there's no need to be rude. However, the receptionist lady was very lovely and obviously works very hard. I take my hat off to her
Small clean hospital. Very friendly, helpful staff and nurses. Lidls near the entrance to car park. Was quite difficult to park in the car park, lots of cars parked out of the bays along the road. Small friends of hospital shop but was shut.
Clean & welcoming. No real long waits for treatments. Respectful when love ones pass away, thankyou.
We unfortunately arrived 15 minutes late due to the holiday traffic serge, informed the reception lady apologising for the lateness in which was rudely told they may not be able to fit my mother in when the waiting room was empty, to then luckily be told by the doctor sh can see her. while waiting my mum takes her mask off due to having less than half her lungs working and struggles to breath best of days, and told extremely rudely by some nurse she was to put her mask on now. I'm pretty disgusted with there attitudes to patients, staff evaluation is required
Good hospital. Student nurse and nurse were very good and professional. The lady on reception seemed very rusty as she asked for our details 3 or 4 times. She took around 20minutes getting us onto the system. I've never known it take so long to get an appointment. I did ring whilst on route to book an appointment but they work on a triage system in the minor injury unit. So you check in, then see a nurse, then see a doctor if needed. Parking isn't very good and there isn't too many seats in the waiting area. The older generation seemed reluctant to get up for a pregnant woman with a child. They hung there heads in shame and looked at the floor and pretended they hadn't seen her until one nice person got up and made room. Its shocking the older generation believe they take precedence over a pregnant woman. Age is just a number and the majority of 50-60 year olds in this country have not fought for the country or done anything for which is worthy of the saying 'Respect your elders'. I would always respect an elder but too many of them believe they have rights over anyone else. The other day I saw an elderly person refuse to move out of a seat on the train which was reserved for disabled persons.
Very quick and lovely service , very clean modern hospital
