Recently moved from cutgate surgery , the  worst Doctors surgery in Rochdale so Walton street is a breath of fresh air. Rang up and did not have a riddiculous queueing system, got straight through, made an appointment and got seen. Kelly the nurse was brilliant , very helpful as was the doctor that I got to see the next day. For people complaining about here you really have no idea what it’s like at many other surgery’s, you cannot get through to them on the phone  never mind get an appointment!

NHS in crisis due to time wasters  My wife rang Hopwood on Monday.  The receptionist checked with the nurse and confirmed that my wife, myself and our daughter would need injections for our trip to India. The receptionist said that the nurse had booked two ten-minute appointments to speak to myself and my wife separately. The Nurse did not bother to call me.  When she rang my wife back she spent 15 minutes saying she wouldn't be able to spare 10 minutes to give the injections within the next 3-week period.  Wouldn't it have been sensible for the nurse to ask the receptionist to make a ten-minute appointment so that she could have administered the injections instead of wasting 15 minutes of her time and my wife's time talking on the phone?  The best bit my wife books herself and our daughter in for the 2 Injections at the private chemist's next door to Hopwood. She arrives and the chemist says they haven't arrived yet I'll just pop next door to Hopwood Medical Centre and borrow the injections of them. Injections were finally given and paid for £60.00.  Terrible Unprofessional Service  NHS What NHS ??????

Rang the surgery on 2/2/24 at 11.39 the charming receptionist went well out of her way to sort me out with my problem Pain in my knee!!! Gave me an appointment today 3/2/24 to see Dr Mohammed Etc etc Thanks so muchHope you see this

I’ve been with this practice for years and have never had a single problem. They appear forward thinking and are always making improvements to improve the service they provide. The building is well maintained, the waiting room relatively empty and is always moving so you’re not sat there long. A lot of the same staff have worked there for years so they know families and there’s a professional familiarity. The receptionists are knowledgeable and are happy to help. I’ve only knocked a star off because I’m not a massive fan of the call at 8am process because appointments have sometimes gone for the day, if you can’t ring before mid morning but at least the appointment isn’t in three weeks time like other places.

Constant problems with getting my medication, being diabetic I would say it is quite important to have my medication on time but clearly this practice does not agree. My mother, also diabetic has only had issues here with her medication as well. Please find another doctor, your health too important to waste your time here!!

I've been at Hopwood medical centre for a few years now never had any problems getting an appointment, I have just used the patches service responded to really quickly. Reception staff are really helpful and friendly. I've seen a couple of differnt Dr's who have always been very helpful. Keep up the good work Hopwood would recommend to friends and family

Very friendly reception staff, excellent doctors.  Dr. Mohammed always very courteous and listens to my problems.  I have given feedback to the practice manager and she has been very receptive to listening to my suggestions.  Thank you for all your hard work.

Been to surgery for injection in my knee for arthritis  Dr Mohammed very kindly fitted me in   ,at my late request for the injection  ,I really appreciated it  such a lovely doctor,  thank you very much  DR MOHAMMED   your a star

The receptionists need additional training on a professional telephone manner. Really negative and quite rude to end the conversation. They seem very process driven and seem like a bit of a jobs worth. Dr Osborne and Trish the nurse are great but it seems like some of the more junior staff on managing incoming calls should be better/more personable.
