Ordered salt n pepper chicken wings and has to be one of the worst I've tasted! Huge disappointment. Been using this chippy for decades previously posted a 5 star review and don't know if they've changed hands as it's been poss a year since I've ordered anything but it was floury, soggy and not pleasant to eat at all. If I had time I would have sent it back, instead i just discarded it! No idea what's gone wrong with the recipe or cook but would recommend addressing sharpish!
I’ve been using this chippy for years and noticed yesterday it’s got new owners. The foods awful now. You definitely need to get a new chef and get one quick. This chippy was known as one of the best in Manchester in mine and many peoples opinion in recent years, now it’s one of the worst. Customer service was 10/10 but the food was extremely atrocious. Ps, this is the first review I’ve done in my life so this must tell you something.
Absolutely disappointed with tonight's delivery the soup had spiled all over the food and ruined everything after waiting 45 minutes for delivery and them giving the delivery driver the wrong address I was not impressed I rang them up and told them I wanted to return the food and wanted my money back waited nearly 30 mins heard nothing so tried ringing several times no answer ended up throwing the food away as it was dripping everywhere £50 worth of food wasted as they couldn't be bothered dealing with there own mistake over an hour after the complaint was made the delivery driver returned to collect the food I had given up on them coming back hence the food getting binned needless to say no money back no apology nothing they have my number. Was a loyal customer for many years not any more. This used to be a beautiful take away not anymore. Very disappointed. To add to your response we did want a refund but as we already binned the food due to it getting everywhere the driver couldn't give us the money back as he was instructed to take the food back in exchange of the money
I’ve been eating here since a child and it was once one of the best if not the best Chinese chippy in Manchester, but since the new owners have taken over it’s gone into the ground. Does anyone know where the original owners have moved to?
I've the food here. Great portion sizes. Excellent staff and the take card payments and delivery within a a certain radius x Food: 4/5
I’d give it 0 if I could. Eaten here a few times and it’s always been decent. Last night tried to order for delivery and they just hung up. If you can’t be bothered with customer service you’re in the wrong game folks.
One of the best chippys out there. I have eaten at a great number of chippys across the Greater Manchester and Mersyside regions and this is one of the best. I live in Australia where the Chinese chippy is nowhere to be found. On my most recent visit to the UK, I drove from Liverpool all the way to Old Trafford for the salt and pepper chips with curry sauce and ate them in the park nearby with a plastic fork. Worth it!
Chips werent probably cooked and were raw. One member of staff was very rude and aggressive when decided to have curry sauce at last minute will avoid from nowFood: 1/5
Had fish and chips. Price reasonable and chips were nice but the fish did taste as though it had been cooked in same oil as some Chinese meals and had a slightly Chinese flavour. Will probably try something from thier Chinese menu next time.
Very delicious. Authentic Hong Kong food.
