I had to return a item that was incorrect. I had an image of receipt in mobile . They said because it’s on mobile they will give me gift card instead of give the money back in card . I was not regular to the store , eventually lost the gift card .
Unbelievably rude and hostile service when trying to return an item that was not fit for purpose. Was told that they didn't have to take the item back, that it wasn't the law and that I'd somehow tampered with the item! Said I'd bought it exactly as it was sold and was begrudgingly given a refund. Spoke to a manager who was just as little help. The receipt states clearly that Homebase will accept the item with a receipt if you're not happy or it's not required let alone that it's not fit for purpose! Terrible - have written to Homebase directly.
Hombase was trying its best but there were too many people in the store. So it was not possible to keep social distancing. They let a lot more than the 30 people in the store than the sign suggested would be allowed. But as always Homebase is a great DIY store
Initially left to wait for 10 minutes at the customer services counter and then met with scoffs and rudeness from 2 staff members prior to even fully understanding what my query was. Admittedly, there was 1 helpful staff member, but he did not make up for the rudeness of the other two who also insinuated I was not looking correctly before they even knew what my query was.nnWon't be going back to this store and will be purchasing from elsewhere. Incredibly disappointed with the service received.
This store is now closed but it hasn’t been updated on Google - I went there yesterday to discover it closed 20 minute drive from home so don’t waste a trip.nHomebase; can you update Google so other people don’t make the same wasted journey.
