Awesome store for such a small town. Excellent selection of DIY, garden and recreation items
Visited the Sandbach store as it's closing down so bargains to be had. Not really the case most things only 10% off marked price some things 25%. If they want to get rid of everything then they need to do further reductions as seen the same items cheaper else where fairly poor price drops dissapointed to be honest.
Not happy. I pre ordered a multi tool and went to pick it up next day. The box had been opened and the lady said it would be ok. I took it back to the car and thought to check it. I was disappointed to find the contents were a jumble the accessory bag had been ripped open so I didn't know if anything was missing and to me it looked as if it had been used. I don't like complaining and have anxiety problems but I got myself together and went back. I said I'm sorry but this is not good enough, it's for a birthday present and it's a mess inside the box. They changed it for one in a sealed box so I was relieved and was able to calm myself down. Doesn't make sense to me that they risk loosing a customer by trying to sell an inferior/seconds product.
Went here to buy a garden hoe, is easy to get to & has spaces for parking. Store is well laid out & staff are friendly. was a good product at a good price.
Absolutely useless! !!! I pre order to collect told there is 4 in stock then check before I come there is only 2 left only to be told when I get there there are none in stock the staff were useless too and didn't give a crap just wanted me out of the way AVOID AVOID go somewhere you'll be appreciated! !!
Went for pre ordered lights. They were there waiting to be collected. Other staff helped with different items. I came out with everything I needed. Very pleasant helpful staff
Mixed bag I'm afraid, most annoying is inconsistent pricing. Bought a Stanley knife, pack of spare blades from Homebase, £3 - pack of blades for same, £4. Wanted 4 magnetic catches to fix a cupboard, £4.50 for one from Homebase, Amazon, £3 for 2. Quality is a bit hit and miss, took 2 toolchests back.
Homebase is one of those places you can get a good deal or pay a arm and leg for something this one is no exception had some great offers on things sadly not what I needed however worth remembering they do price match needs to be an up to date price though
Good as an emergency measure. There are much better stocked DIY places and cheaper ones locally. Such as Handy Households on high Street.
Our experience of Homebase in Sandbach is that they are happy to take your money, but not at all happy to own up to their mistakes. Having spent a large amount of money on a kitchen, designed by their kitchen designer, we later found out to our cost that the kitchen was badly designed and had to be modified to fit and even worse, the kitchen we had been encouraged to buy, wasn't recommended for the general public to install. The extra cost in money and time was ignored and the buck firmly passed to an ex employee......'not our fault, it wasn't us, it was Nick and he's left now'
