Good gracious! This place is so homey, so rustic, the vibe is so good. This is what I had on my visit: Holohan's Pan Boxty £10: I got the salmon option. It's really delicious overall, seasoned perfectly. The sauce is not too heavy not overpowering, fish is great, veggies also fresh. Portion's enough for me. This is gonna be my go to menu every time I come here. Sticky toffee pudding £6: I absolutely love it, every single component! Though I thought the portion would be slightly bigger, but the taste pays that off. Enjoyed the dessert! Worth every penny. Service is also great. On my visit, one of the guys kindly briefed me with the menu maybe he could tell that it's my first time here, which for me is a sign of good hospitality. It's recommended to book your table before coming cause the ground floor is not really that big and I don't know about their second floor seating not sure if they even have that one, didn't notice that on my visit. Overall, I will definitely come back again for their other menu. Great job, Holohan's!
I came here on my first day in Belfast and i definitely don’t regret it. I had the chicken, chorizo and tarragon cream holohans pan boxty with broccoli and green beans and it was all so delicious!!! For the first time i tried a strawberry cider and it was also so tasty. Finally i tried the lemon posset and it was soo good!! Overall great place with a nice location and homely atmosphere, you can tell they are well known and the staff is very friendly too!
I came here with my family last Sunday and had a delicious Sunday dinner. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the waiter Thomas was so friendly and attentive. Will definitely go back when next in Belfast, it’s a hidden gem.
Fabulous! Absolutely amazing resturant. I was a lone diner and the staff made me feel so welcome. Bacon chops so good that I had to return with my sister. She also loved it and had the boxty. Both times the food and service were outstanding. Fabulous spot for a truly memorable meal in Belfast.
I had the soup of the day - which today was creamy mushroom and it was absolutely delicious. The bread was a bit sweet on its own but it goes perfectly with the butter. Then I had the sea food boxty - really good. The portion was massive I couldn’t even finish it all and the price was okay. The place is really cute inside and all the waiters were suuuper friendly.
Fab friendly, helpful service. Lovely home-cooked food and comfortable setting. Nothing too much for staff.
Lovely place! Staff and meals are perfect Do not leave without their irish coffee!
Beautiful place with a lovely atmosphere. Extraordinary service, and the pleasent and attentive staff took me on a great journey of Irish food and drinks with a lot of interesting information on the side : Very good value for money.
The soup was a pea soup and down right amazing. All the food was quite good with the seabass being cooked exceptionally well having a beautiful crispy skin and not not or over cooked. Was extremely pleased. On top of the great food the waiter was witty and very funny. The overall experience is in my for few of all time. However, if you are going with a large group understand they do not want to do separate checks and prefer not to do more than 2 cards per table, so get some cash if you want to split. It's 100% worth the hassle Vegetarian options: We had a vegetarian with us that ordered the veggies boxty and said it was the best thing she had all week
Absolutely delicious. Great service and a cute little place. 2 courses for 30€
