I have only ever had one negative experience with a Dr at this practice in 20+ years and that was back in 2012. I have been so well looked after by every GP and I cannot thank the NHS enough. Yes, occasionally a grumpy receptionist, but I don’t blame them.
Yes, it might be a long waiting time, this is what you should expect but I never had an issue with either the Receptionist or the Doctors. Always kind and supportive, and whenever I needed an appointment it was sorted out on the day. I think we need to look from the perspective of the number of calls and patients are handling daily and I think they do a great job. Thank you
This review is not for the surgery as such, It is for the wonderful lady in the surgery dispensary who helped me today to understand the perscription system, sorted out my problem, that was caused by inept admin/processing from the surgery and the Pharmacy attached to the surgery. She was a SUPER STAR and I am very grateful for her help.
Complete lack of effective and coherent communications. Getting through the phone queue is nearly impossible.
I don’t know why it has such low ratings, sometimes people just write reviews when they’re unhappy. Also I do feel that patients accessing this GP surgery need a reality check and visit surgeries in Reading or Basingstoke to see what a poor GP surgery looks like. I’ve had only great experiences with this surgery, everyone is cooperative, helpful and kind. GPs have been prompt and attentive at all times, this is probably one of the best surgeries I’ve had the pleasure of being a part of, share positive stories not just negative feedback.
Incredibly poor - phoned up for an appointment for my son but no answer after 15 minutes on hold. I can only assume the lack of a queue notification system is to avoid quoting the embarrassing wait time.
There is no point phoning these guys, it is impossible to get through to anyone. In this day and age its completely unacceptable not to be able to reach your GP by telephone.
Now that all appointments are via telephone, you never know when you're going to recieve a phone call over an 11 hour period, which completely stresses me out, and can be up to five days, so that's five days of being afraid to leave the house in case they ring the landline, or five days of taking your phone into the toilet with you, as they only try twice then give up. Was promised a call today as on weekly prescriptions, but no phone call, it's a Friday, only have one tablet left, so have resorted to phoning 111 to see if I can get an emergency Prescription to tide me over. Am in pieces over the whole thing. Not eaten all day and is now gone 9pm. Waiting for callback from 111. Seems the surgeries triage service doesn't deem me important enough. Will be putting in an official complaint
Appalling service sorry..... firstly trying to get a call answered = 20 mins + ...not good enough ! Tried calling various times of the day makes no difference still a 20 mins + plus wait ! When you do get through NO apologies for such a long wait. “ we’re busy I’m only a receptionist “ When questioning why the service is so appalling I get told more staff are needed and I get asked“ are you going to pay then” this surgery wasn’t like this a few years ago ..... I know we’re are in difficult times but the basics are not happening . The doctors are good but only when you have overcome the obstacles of getting the phone answered politely and in a reasonable time. Someone needs to look at the communications in this practise to make some changes because it isn’t working the moment !!
Nightmare to get an appointments with own GP or routine appointments with any GP & limited late afternoon appointments as there very busy. GP's are nice but very busy. Online booking has been withdrawn. Certain parts of the building are small & difficult to navigate on a mobility scooter. Medical reports take months to be done. Dispensary occasionally makes mistakes with prescription requests & are often closed & you can't request over the phone anymore. Late appointments can be a problem if your disabled as the rear door you have to use is narrow & not disabled friendly.
