Just wanted to write how lovely your staff all were when we visited today Aug 3rd. They were all really welcoming, chatty and friendly. We had a great time bowling in the VIP lane which was really appreciated, thank you again!nThe facilities were all really clean and food was good. A lovely touch of the treasure hunt for kids with a little prize on completion. Thank you for brightening up our day
The bowling was fine and what you would expect so no problem there. The service at the bar area is atrocious, 2 people serving and the queue just kept growing. I waited for 20 minutes for drinks before giving up and deciding to leave. The staff were friendly but I am not sure they were confident in what they were doing behind the bar. I was not the only one to give up waiting to be served either. So yes, bowling is fine, no problems but service for anything else is terrible.
Absolutely fine for bowling except from being inevitably overpriced. The attitudes of the staff, however, was a different matter. We book on a Tuesday evening at 9 online, and there is no indication that we must be over 18 to bowl at that time. We are then asked for ID in the venue, and only 4 of our party were able to provide. The staff member who asked was rude and blunt, and when we very politely pointed out that there were children in the building, we are told they are allowed with a parent. Considering we had proven that all of us were over 18 and 3 were over 21, could the rest of us not act as ‘responsible adults’? Would a child not be allowed with an older sibling, for example? Regardless, the final member of our party was told, again rudely, that he would have to leave. I do not believe we would have been treated as such had we not been young adults, and I would consider it very important to make it clear when booking that ID would be required.nI would like to mention that the rest of the staff were very friendly and treated us well.
I only pop in for a coffee a couple of times a week when I've been to Nuffield health gym next door because they don't take cash and Hollywood bowl does. Nice coffee and accept legal tender so full marks for that.
Danny greeted and helped us throughout our visit in Yeovil. As a Support Worker I want to Thank him so much he was amazing help and caring nature. Definitely going back.
