Had a wonderful stay, wonderful staff couldn't do enough for you.nWonderfully clean & spacious room, with lovely shower, & super soft towels.nSuper location, for bars and pubs, but hotel bar was very reasonably priced.nBreakfast was good, with a good choice.nAll in all, excellent, would definitely stay again.
The room is exceptionally well-appointed, but unfortunately, it lacks both a fridge and a microwave. The front desk staff are incredibly nice and courteous, but the reservation policy is quite rigid; changes and partial refunds are not permitted, even though such flexibility is commonly allowed in the US. Consequently, I would rate the overall service as 3 stars. The location is good and close to the Sunderland station which is easy to access to Newcastle and NCL airport without changing the train. The train environment is safe, 5 stars.
Had a coach party stay here last night. Beds are amazing rooms are spacious and clean. The restaurant area stuggles when the hotel is at high capacity and we had some queing for breakfast. Last nights fish and chip dinner wasn't the best but I must give a massive shout out to the staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Particularly a young lady called Mia. Always smiling couldn't do enough and was running herself ragged trying to accommodate a very busy Sunday morning shift. Please give that girl a medal and a pay rise cause I'm certain she defused many complaints today just with her hard working can do attitude. Four stars for the hotel ....10 stars for Mia
Very nice room and extremely friendly staff in an ideal location. Hotel was well laid out and the breakfast was superb. My only issue was that I tried a couple of times to call room service but the calls were never answered, but other than this I can highly recommend this hotel to travellers.
Enjoyed our overnight stay with Caledonia travel.nThe staff were very helpful.nGF options. We had to have early breakfast to make the tides for Holy Island. Staff came out to wave us off.
