We stayed here as part of a massive drive from North to South for a wedding to split up the journey and knew it was close to the M6 motorway for ease of access.nUpon arrival, the ground floor is modern, quiet. The car parking is plentiful but on a business day in business hours as its in an retail park, I can imagine it gets busy.nThere is 1 lift that services the 12 floors. We were on floor 5. The room was a corner room that was decent enough but felt like it needed a revamp, there was clear damage on walls and on cupboards from over use and the bathroom had rust, mould and dirt including a half eaten cracker on the floor. We didn't shower as the shower head was caked in mildew and build up lime scale.nThe bed was extremely uncomfortable. There was a dip in the middle so myself and my husband felt like we'd roll into each other in the night and you could feel the springs in the mattress. The doors to all the bedrooms were not soft close and slamming happened throughout the night. We could hear the train line outside the room and the road. Our curtains weren't fitted to the corner window properly so didn't close which then meant light got in from cars driving past.nThe staff throughout our stay weren't great, on arrival we didn't get a smile and they seemed to not want to talk to us. At breakfast, we felt the same thing from the staff serving breakfast. The breakfast was nice and we enjoyed this hence more than 1 star. I would try and find somewhere else to stay next time I needed to do this long journey. Definitely not value for money.
More a business than family hotel.nThe team is friendly and helpful.nAccessible room had space to turn wheelchair, bathroom had adequate grap rails for me, with wet room shower - so met my needs.nWe were there at weekend so quite, with plenty of parking.nIs a multi storey building, I could image the lift could have queues when hotel is busier.
Just an average Holiday Inn.nRooms were ok. No iron. Have limited parking spaces.nHave asked them to provide a crib. Guy on reception agreed to provide. Never given one .nNo telephone in a room. You can’t contact the reception from the room.nWe were with young kid who likes to drink milk before bed.nWe asked one for the staff to boil milk for us. He was helpful.nOther guys had no idea that they can warm the milk for customers. Huge scope for improvements.
Stayed for one night for work. Hot shower and good breakfast, all you really need. Though would have liked an ironing board and an iron in the room.
Really small room! They didn't have mattress for the baby's cot so he slept on the pillows!!nFood from bar is very expensive and they don't have room service during the night
