Lovely station in a deep cutting that's very well looked after. This is done by locals I understand and not the rail company. It's been great recently as the weather has been been good but I imagine it's awful in winter. Not enough cover if it rains. No lifts too so if you can't manage the steps your stuffed. There's no one to help.

Lovely surroundings and great train schedules. Pity there's no lift or escalator otherwise it would be a 5 star rating.

I needed somewhere nearby to catch a train. I tried the lake, the golf course and the local Tesco, but nothing doing. Wish I'd known about hindley station sooner. I was able to catch my train and get off at another station, then during the return journey I managed to get off at hindley again. It works BOTH WAYS!! Brilliant.

Although it's guaranteed to have delays, the rail service is adequate.
