Clean station, nice artwork. Worst thing is the limited hours of operation.
Once you get through the ticket barriers there is an excellent piece of artwork which features multiple pigeons on it. It is nice to see this sort of representation so publicly available for viewing. A strange smell is present which seems to permeate most of the Glasgow subway.
Any subway / metro system in any city in the world makes your logistics much more convenient to get around or when you are tired of walking. As a worldwide experienced user, what surprised me was the low, cramped carriages and the unbelievably loud noise inside when moving.

the clockwork orange is my least most favourite public transport!!! i feel like a little piece of salt in a train shaped shaker! not good 4 my blood pressure not for the faint-hearted… but good for a little thrill if u know what i mean i do like hillhead station tho; despite its flaws it’s nice and grey mon cloeur preferre it inspires poetry in ma tête .
Absolutely love the subway. Cheapest public transport and fastest. Only wish they ran 24/7. At least open up earlier on Sundays?
Subway train on circular route round inner Glasgow. Inner and Outer lines depending on direction round loop. Trains and stations clean, generally via stairs and escalators. No obvious signs of wheelchair access. Hours not great, closes around 11pm during weekdays, 6pm on Sunday! Fares typical.
It is my favourite station, lovely and clean, I love the way that the ticket office looks the bright pinkish/orange colour with the name Hillhead in white. The platforms are well kept. Byres Road right outside if you want to do some shopping.
It was surprising how small the tube was, but the sits were comfy. A single adult ticket with no card was £1,65 and the child one was £0,70. Cheap.
