Buchanan Street Subway station serves as a key transit hub in the heart of Glasgow’s vibrant shopping district, offering a clean and modern environment that enhances the commuter experience. The station's sleek, contemporary trains and well-maintained facilities reflect its importance in accommodating the heavy foot traffic it receives daily. However, despite these positives, the absence of a reliable and fully accessible wheelchair elevator remains a significant issue.
Buchanan Street opened up to the other underground lines and then at ground level the city centre. Loads of bars and shops. We only had a few hours to explore, and it was definitely an experience I want to revisit. On our return to Buchanan Street, the staff were so helpful as we did not have a clue which train to get on to get back to Bridge Street. Great customer service. £3.40 for a return from our hotel on the south side of the river, which was only two streets away from the underground station.
Cheap way to get around the city. Got on one of the new carriages, what a difference, spotless. staff helpful aswell.
A great location if you are coming into the heart of the city..near the top end of " The Style Mile ".The staff are great and will point you in the right direction if you don`t kow where to go :
Glasgow's main shopping street, with your regular retail outlets and a few of the more high class expensive shops in the Princes Square Shopping Arcade
Horrible customer service, failed with basic communication. I had asked how long it would take to get to my destination given one of the circle was shut, the guy made me buy a ticket and then he told that it would take 30 mins after purchasing a ticket despite me asking before then I asked for further clarification and he was being very rude and disrespectful and ill mannered, when Literally everyone was confused and he was making it worse.
Bright, light and modern underground station. Good access for all abilities and convenient central location for amenities and access to main shopping areas
The Glasgow Metro while small is extremely convenient with regular train times. The staff at the ticket window where extremely helpful. The stations and trains are clean and quick providing you efficient transport across the city. It is a brilliant way to get fro city centre to the transport museum and other venues. The boards are clearly marked making navigation easy.
