Great place to stay. Stayed a few times with our small dog. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Breakfasts are excellent and again staff fab and will go out their way for your needs. Highly recommended and will definitely stay again when we come home with our dog.

Meal was nice ordered salad with chicken skewers salad consisted of lettuce leaves i asked where tomatoes onions etc was she did take my plate away and returned it with tomatoes cucumber etc but did say chef has done it this time but menu has changed so salad actually means lettuce leaves !!! Ordered a latte which was cold !!! Ordered a pink gin came in a half pint glass with no fruit really disappointed!!!

Another great experience staying at The Highfield, all the staff are very friendly and accommodating and the food is always great. Would highly recommend to anybody looking for accommodation when visiting Middlesbrough.

The first room I was offered was small and tired, I asked to be moved and was given a nice refurbished room on the ground floor. Clean and roomy. However as the room was right next to the restaurant the night porter woke me at 4am setting up for breakfast and I ended up leaving at 5am. I have contacted the hotel and was treat sympathetically.
