Staff were attentive and friendly. The food was exceptional, I would definitely recommend the black pudding starter. We were unaware that the chicken breast is served on the bone, which we found out to my wife's dismay. The staff offered to cut the bone off and handled the problem really well. Would definitely visit here again.

My uni friends and I went to Oven for lunch as I saw that it was one of the top places to eat on Trip Advisor and it was just round the corner from Teesside University. We were very impressed with the decor, it looked well maintained and clean. We were seated immediately with menus. The food as well presented and really tasty, we were surprised at portion size given that some of us ordered the 2 courses for £9.95, they were huge! We are already planning our next trip there.

What an outstanding Sunday lunch! My only critique is they serve too many utterly delicious accompaniments. Wear comfortable clothes or loosen your belt because it was divine but very filling. Excellent value for money.

Came in around 1pm not busy but some people were in, excellent service and really attentive. Ordered the pate which was beautiful and then had the chicken parmo which was perfect, came with handmade chips also ordered the “oven ice tea” cocktail which was beautiful. Highly recommend amazing service all round with beautiful home cooked food !!

Service brilliant atmospher just right and food absolutely gorgeous looking forward to gong back very soon. Lunch time menu fab, Sunday lunch wow you pay a bit more but well worth the treat its quality. well worth a treat for mothers day I would suggest to book a table.
