Hewitt's Villa Spaldi

Sunday at noon time, we saw this tea room with a beautiful view of the sea and decided to stop in for tea and lunch. No one was around. We had to ring the bell and wait quite a while for a very unfriendly server to open the door and seat us. He took our order and left. When he did return, the food was actually very good. The soup and bread was homemade. The scone was also freshly baked. Whilst we were sitting eating, another couple arrived and sat down. They also rang the bell and waited, and waited, and the server never came out. It was as though we were unwanted and an irritation that were were there. They left. The server never came out again. We rang the bell several times, yelled "hello" into the reception area and no response. After several more minutes, we calculated what we owed and left it on the table. We never saw the server or anyone else again. Unfortunatly, because the location was amazing and the food was delicious, I would never recommend this to anyone!

Visited for mothers day for a 'luxury' tea and cakes. Would not visit again and would not recommend. Felt really unwelcome, and we were the only guests there! Tea was nice, cakes and scones were awful, like they had been frozen and defrosted and then left in the fridge too long, cream on the turn -Yuck, so bad we got the giggles! We thought for £45 it was going to be a lovely experience - this was horribly disappointing.

Ein Ort aus einer Vergangenheit, welche nicht schöner erinnert werden kann. Der Garten am Steilküste ist ein zauberhafter verwildeter Platz Erde, ein Ort zum Träumen.
