Story

Welcome to Herons Leisure Centre, located in the heart of Herne Bay; we are the area's number 1 health, fitness and Leisure Centre. The Centre offers a NEW Gym with state of the art equipment, 3 Exercise Studios with classes including including - Pump, Yoga, Body Jam, Spin and many more! We have Swimming Pools on offer as well as a Cafe.

Active Life is a non-profit making Trust which means that all income is invested back into the centres ensuring you enjoy some of the best possible facilities available

The pool is okay, but always quite cold. My main concern is the level of hygiene in the swimming pool. There is always litter strewn about in the changing rooms. I just feel filthy once I've been there, and it makes you cringe walking around in bare feet. Really enjoy the aqua classes though.
Went for the first time recently. Good facilities on offer, nice staff. However the place is in desperate need for a really good clean! Pool changing rooms and poolside at really grubby and horrible. The cleanliness will definitely put us off coming back.
Minging!!nnAbsolutely disgusting! Changing rooms gross... Rude staff, bossy and unapproachable..nnFirst time here. Will certainly be the last... Rusty steps to the jacuzzi, rust around the pool tiles, grime... The changing rooms are gross. The floor is filthy black and disgusting. Licker keys Rusty, and the bracelets on the verge of snapping with no tab to keep them on... Staff, when told the changing rooms are gross shrugged and seemed such an effort to get someone to clean it. No apology. Utter minging!nnThe street is cleaner than that pool/changing roomnDo better!
I'd like to say Thank you to the staff at Herons especially Anna for the way they have treated me today I had a stroke early this year and I struggle with IT etc . Helen you have the very best team , kind ,considerate, nothing is too much trouble for them , warm , friendly , I found the changing rooms spotless. Thank you and congratulations you take some beating .xx
First time here and probably the last. Found out i had to book 8.50 for a 45 minute session. Qued up with the other over 50's noticed they had a bubble pool asked for it to be put on. Struggled to get in it a lady joined me, we were in there for 5 minutes and the life guard women said she had to turn it of as the group in the small pool had finished. Some i had to struggle out and get in the big pool.nHad a 20 minutes splash and got out. No costume drier and small cubicles
