Popped in to shelter from the rain and find very kind staff there who took the time to show my daughter where the books she was looking for were and engaged my young teen son in chat about books. They sorted out or debts oops! and checked books out for us despite us not having or library cards with us. Headed off with an armful of new books and they even provided us with a plastic bag to carry them in. Great!
Great little library. Fantastic professional, and helpful staff, which makes all the difference. I borrowed a travel book for Switzerland, and the staff kindly ordered me in another one from a different library which arrived on time for my trip. Saved me the expense of having to buy a guide book. Thank you.
I found my ancient library card in a drawer and went to Hedge End library to see if it was still valid. It wasn't - no surprise there. The lady behind the desk was most helpful and issued me a new card. She also explained how I can use any Hampshire library and also how to use their online digital services to read newspapers and magazines for free.
Nice little library, lots of activities going on for kids which is great to see not the largest selection of books you'll ever see, but if just want a fiction book, sure you'll find something.
A good little library with very helpful staff and a decent enough selection. The team there will order books if you need them from other libraries. I hope it stays open !
The staff always go out of their way to help, ordering in anything that you need if it's not on site. During the pandemic they are providing essential community support through their Ready Reads Scheme, helping to preserve people's mental health. Thank you!
My husband and I arrived late this afternoon to print out 2 documents sign them, scan them and then Email them. We couldn't use our own equipment as we had just moved and BT had let us down in setting our Broadband up. From the moment we entered the Library to when we left the 2 staff, a female Manager and the young man helped us in every way possible. Thank you both. Michele and Andy B
A brilliant place to read, use computers, and spend time for both young and old. Run by highly personable and competant staff.
This is my local library and I've always appreciated the help from the staff. They are always helpful and friendly. I also like their recommendations which have always been spot on!
A lovely local library. The staff are wonderful and they also run lots of events for children. Hedge end is lucky to have such a fantastic service
