I've had nice cakes in the past from here. But, today was a little disappointing. I had a savoury and a sweet tart. The savoury, caramelised onion and goats cheese, was the real let down. I think it may either have been not the freshest or else the dough was maybe over worked. Generally all ingredients were not the best and would have been 2 star, or less, on its own. The sweet tart was better quality, a lemon curd tart. Although, the pastry was right on the edge and a little further done than I would like. Also, I would prefer a more full flavour of lemon, instead of just a hint, from a curd. Even though the curd tartlet wasn't that bad, it was at best a 3 star on its own. I think the overall rating may even be a little generous. I would have expected better from a cake tart specialist.
Beautiful and delicious mousse cakes at a reasonable price and in a variety of flavors from chocolate to passionfruit. My favorite so far is the mango. Can't wait to try more!
We bought some tarts here on a visit to the English market. They look good and the taste matched the visual. Next time I'll be back to try the cheesecake.
Raspberry tart was incredible at a great price. Only wish I would have ordered more
