I love visiting and spending time at Heaton Park. It has two large playgrounds and 3 large car parks, however it can be extremely busy on sunny days or during school holidays.nIt's ideal for anyone who wants to spend some time outdoors, get outside with the kids and still want to do activities close to nature.nParking is free before 10am or after 5pm Mo-Sun. 1hr £1, 2hrs £3, 3+hrs £3.nThere're public toilets inside the buildings.
We went during the Christmas at Heaton Park event and the parking was well organised and supervised, and very convenient for walking round the lake area. I don't have knowledge of what it is like in general.
Great place to go. Booked the boats online. Children's playground was small but kids enjoyed it. Nice clean place. Had a picnic and a long walk
- Could do with being a little bigger on busy summer daysn- Follow the parking rules as you WILL be fined. Parking attendants are constantly pacing up and down looking for victims
Great place to walk round, very busy during summer, weekends & school holidays.nCar park fees have been in force for around 4-5 years.
