Story

Whether you are planning a trip to St Andrews to enjoy the beaches, play a round of golf, visit the University or explore the history, there is something for everyone. Being located at the cathedral end of North Street gives the advantage of peace and quiet whilst being within a stone's throw of the buzz of town and within walking distance of beaches, golf courses etc.

We are located at the quiet residential end of North street less than 30 yards from the University Graduation Hall. This really is the Heart of St Andrews. Our two properties are available for holidays throughout the year. Choose full weeks or short breaks to make the most of every season.

Just spent a week at The Hideaway. Stayed at Scribbles for the last few years and was great to stay in this new property with our wee dog. This is an excellent property and Shona has maintained the high standard of accomodation, including a very thoughtfull welcome pack . Central location and garden fully enclosed. Its a sun trap too. Cannot recommend highly enough. We will definitely return . Thank you once again.
I stayed at North Star with a group of friends and we had a fabulous time. The apartment is really central right in the heart of St. Andrews! which meant we were able to walk everywhere. Also handy when people wanted to head back at different times. The garden was fabulous for a couple of sunny evenings when we managed to have outdoor drinks. Inside, North Star is bright, modern, airy and stylish. It was also really clean! We cooked a couple of times and managed to find all the gadgets and utensils we needed. We loved the extra touches like fishing nets and picnic bag! Shona was a super host and even went the extra mile to accommodate our special request for a delivery of Fisher and Donaldson's famous fudge doughnuts!
My husband and I have just returned from a 3 night stay at Scribbles. This is a small but lovely apartment,comfortable, very well appointed and spotless. The location is perfect, situated on a quiet street, but only a short walk from shops, restaurants, bars, cinema and theatre. Extremely close to the castle and an easy walk to the harbour and both east and west sands. Welcome gifts including milk,cake and Proscecco was a nice touch. The good quality toiletries was appreciated too. Fast, reliable wi-fi was great too, as often in holiday accommodation it can be a bit temperamental. We would definitely stay here again.
LOVE both these Vacation Rentals. Just returned from our 2nd stay in 'Scribbles' visiting daughter who is studying at the Uni. The cottage is so comfortable, great big bed for us Americans who love kingsize and the lay-out and personal touches make it feel so luxurious! It's perfect for a couple who want to feel pampered in the heart of St Andrews! We've also stayed with friends at North Star, the 3 bed, property at the same address. It is equally well-appointed and the facilities and location cannot be equaled. Whatever the time of year St Andrews is the perfect vacation, culture, shopping and great pubs and restaurants. The Heart of St Andrews puts you in the best location with the most comfort and privacy and I'm sure - like us - you'll be counting the days until you can go back.
Perfect location and excellent accommodation with a very well thought out welcome pack. Couldn't have asked for anymore. Have only left, but want to go back.........Thank youRooms: 5/5
