In reality it was a 20 star experience!!! Denise like a family member , friend, a carer, consierge... we felt precious, the food was literally the most superb one ever, all breakfast items were flawless, all staff members smiling and greeting you with the friendliest way! Huge, free for 4 hours carpark. 100 meter away from runway. Thank you!
We ordered beers and the standard carvery. The food was excellent, the seating was comfortable, and the toilets were clean.nnThere were three of us, and we visited on Easter Monday. I had booked a table for 11:45 the day before, but when we arrived there were plenty of seats available, so we were told to sit wherever we liked. Perhaps there was some miscommunication, but we were later asked to move to a different table. I felt the waitress spoke in an unfriendly tone when reminding us what “reserved” meant. I understand English perfectly well and was happy to move, but it did leave me with a slightly negative impression—especially as the original table remained empty after we moved.nnIt gave me a feeling, however slight, of being treated as a second-class customer because of my East Asian ethnicity, though I may be mistaken. I have visited more than once and will return again. I remain hopeful and focus on the good food, keeping my overall experience positive.
Six of us visited Hawthorne Farm for a carvery, including our two daughters aged 2 and 4.nnThe food was exactly what you'd expect from a carvery. Hot, filling, plenty of choice and nobody left hungry. It did the job perfectly well.nnThe real entertainment began when we were shown to our table by a very friendly lady. What started as a warm welcome quickly developed into a full guided tour of the Hawthorne Farm experience.nnWe were introduced to the menu, the offers, the QR code, the competition, the rewards scheme, the drinks, and quite possibly the complete history of the building. She was so committed to making sure we scanned the QR code that she stood with us for so long I genuinely thought she was going to pull up a chair, order a roast beef and join us for dinner.nnAt one point I was expecting her to ask what we'd all like to drink and whether she'd be paying separately.nnTo be fair, her enthusiasm was unmatched. We even won a free drink through the QR code. Unfortunately, claiming it appeared to be considerably more difficult than winning it. I think there may be a secret level that we didn't unlock.nnBy the time the introduction was finished, I felt less like a customer and more like I'd just completed my first day of staff training.nnAll jokes aside, she was genuinely lovely and clearly cared about her job. The food was decent, the atmosphere was good, and the service was friendly throughout.nnWould visit again, although next time I'll make sure there's room for one more at the table just in case our hostess decides to stay for the main course.
This place is amazing.nRight near Leeds Bradford airport ideal before you fly .nBeautiful Toby carverynCouldn't manage any cakes but my word they look amazing .nWe were served today by Dee she was lovely asking if everything ok with our meal .nStaff very nice too .nWell done Guys
Dee was our server and she was excellent from the moment we walked through the door. Happy, smiling, nothing was too much trouble for her and she consistently helped us throughout our visit.nnThe beef was a little chewy and without us even asking, Dee noticed we were having difficulty cutting the meat with the butter knives provided. She immediately offered to exchange our beef for another meat and when we declined, she rushed to get us some steak knives.nnThe food, other than the beef, which was, as mentioned, a bit tough which was surprising, given it was advertised as being slow roasted for 12 hours was excellent. The tough beef dropped it one star.nnOverall, it was a nice meal, right before I was flying out of the nearby airport and offered good value for money. Dee absolutely made the meal with her help and advice. Would eat here again for sure.
