Story

Located in a late Victorian courthouse on Deansgate, next door to Spinningfields, our aim is to serve the best steaks in Manchester. The interior is true to the building and features lots of reclaimed materials from the era, including parquet flooring from a (different) courthouse, panelling from Birmingham's Sandwell College and (well-cleaned) glazed bricks from a public lavatory in Liverpool.
As at all of our restaurants there's a £5 corkage every Monday and on Sundays there's the roast beef that Observer Food Monthly named 'Best Sunday Lunch in the UK'.

The best steak, full stop. Not the cheapest place but the food, service and ambience are all first class, can also recommend the bar food, great for a quick lunch without breaking the bank. Go on a Monday and you can save a few pennies and take your own wine (corkage charge applies)

It’s hard to give anything but 5 stars for Hawksmoor, there’s a reason it’s one of the best restaurants in Manchester. The service was impeccable and the fillet steak was undoubtedly the best steak I’ve ever had. 5/5 couldn’t recommend it enough.

Not really what its cracked up to be. A confused identity - pub or restaurant? Attempted ambience, music choice and staff apparel all very discordant. A very fatty and very tough steak. Tasteless chips presented pub style, washed out desert - unable to find it in a bath of cream. Charge you extra for your chips and your veg on top of the expensive prices just for the lump of meat. What you get (cos of expense) is a massive (cold) plate with a lump of meat in the middle of it and a separate bucket of chips. Not a bit of green, not even a little bit of colour like a bit of side salad - if you won't pay £4.50 for it

Fabulous food! Service was brilliant, so attentive without being intrusive. Highly recommend and will definitely go again. No faults.
