Had to pay $2 more for the onion rings but the onion rings were fried too hard and tasted really greasy. The catfish just wasn't cooked all the way it's mushy so I had to return it. And they don't give utensils either
I gotta say, I came here because the reviews were all goodexcept one and as I walked in I was wondering if I should believe the reviews? It's a small place, it could use a little TLC and the a/c might need some help but we stayed and ate and I have to say.... It was pretty darn good. The fish filets were great and the fries were pretty crispy. The shrimp was a good size and the breading was fried to just the right crispness. The breading could use a little more seasoning but it was still good. I had tried a small place off of Altamesa also and this place blew that one away. I will be coming back. The staff was friendly also. But please do something about the a/c
The customer service was on point today. They closed down for a while for improvements/repairs but I couldn't see any. The place looks outdated and in need of a major facelift. My fish was good the filet was huge, fries were ok, and huspuppies were small and not all that good. I will consider going back but no time soon.
This is not real catfish yall need to change the name of your business this is false advertising at it's finest they have the same fish as Lisa's chicken

Saturday I sat in front of this place from 10:45a until 12:00p only hoping that they were just running an hour late. That definitely wasn’t the case. I couldn’t tell you when they came I just know I gave the Turkey Leg House $30 of my hard earned money and it was worth it. I wish they were open today so I can give them more of my money since it’s Monday June 6, 2022 12:57p and Krispy Catfish has their doors locked. There’s a sign stating “new hours effective…”. If there’s a reason to be closed “post another sign”. It’s that simple. And yes I’m mad for whomever thought so while reading
OMG this food is AMAZING!!! Cooked to an absolute perfection and served hot n fresh...So Good!
Everything was fine until I got my order and they messed it up. I spent 72 dollars at this place just for them to f up my order and im a Pescatarian and I let them know that so why will you put a tender on the same plate with someone's fish or shrimp? I had to get my refund because you don't play with anybody's food or money and the tenders didn't even look like tenders. I wouldn't come back to this place or give it another dollar of my money.
The catfish was great, green beans french cut very nice, along with the tasty hush puppies and large fried shrimp. I ordered the catfish strips with the fried rib !! Catfish was tasty, not too salty, but a very nice crunchy skin and great flavor. The fried rib was a first time event for me and I must say that with the added BBQ sauce, it was quite a pleasant surprise. Several others combination plates and baskets were available to fit one's taste or hunger level. GREAT staff and greeter, quick and efficient service, and they play "old school" R&B as background music and just the right volume. That was a nice touch So if you're hungry and in the McCart area, stop by for a nice meal and good fried catfish.
First time at restaurant, Chevis the cashier was friendly and welcoming, prices are good for quantity and quality of food. Ordered 3 fillet basket myself and a shrimp po-boy for my wife. Food was super fresh and hot out of the fryer! Basket was very filling, tater sauce and hot sauce were good. Po-boy had jumbo shrimp versus popcorn standard…really made a difference in taste, Molly can fry it up good! Super friendly, very clean little spot. I’ll go back again for sure!!
