What can I say super friendly staff, cool bar in basement but everything else meh! Security lax as in no lockers or cages in rooms. Bathrooms disgusting and decrepit, showers useless no pressure at all. Mattress super thin felt every spring. However it is cheap and in the heart of the city.
The friendliness of the host is not accompanied by good amenities. The heater does not work, I nearly died of cold in the brutal Manchester winter. Now in summer, the place is hot as hell. No ventilations AT ALL.
Crumbling, dirty hostel. Lock on the door didn’t work, toilets had toilet roll all over the floors and in the toilets themselves, mattresses were lumpy and worn, breakfast utensils were still dirty. Easily the worst hostel I have ever stayed in.
The room it self was ok. The loo was a bit out dated. The showered had no hot water and need a lot of TLC also ot had a Rat in the Showers
