The Hare and Hounds at Speen is all you would want from a modern coaching inn. the Inn. We have an excellent restaurant & bar, with all food being locally sourced and freshly cooked. Why not enjoy our Friday Steak & Grill Night, or the fabulously authentic Thursday Curry Night? Simply put it’s great food, simply cooked & sensibly priced.

In addition to the restaurant & bar, the Inn has 30 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, equipped with free wi-fi and satellite television, ideal for business or leisure. Privately run by Jonathan & Jean Nelsey and our friendly and attentive staff, this really is a great place to wine, dine & stay.

I’ve been meaning to write this for some time, but it’s hard to put into words just how incredible our experience was. My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Hare & Hounds, and quite simply, it exceeded every expectation we had.nnFrom the very beginning, the team made us feel completely at home. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and every detail was handled with such care, warmth, and genuine enthusiasm. A special mention has to go to Danni, who was absolutely wonderful throughout - meeting with us multiple times, guiding us through the planning, and making the whole process feel effortless and exciting rather than overwhelming.nnOn the day itself, everything ran seamlessly. The staff went above and beyond in every possible way, ensuring not only that things were perfect behind the scenes, but that we as a couple felt relaxed, looked after, and truly able to enjoy every moment. A special thank you to Max, who played a key role in making the day run so smoothly!nnAnd the food was just phenomenal. Our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was!nnThe Hare & Hounds delivered something so personal, so special, and so full of heart that we will cherish it forever. We stayed here over a long weekend with a large group, including children, and had an excellent experience. The staff were outstanding! Max, in particular, went above and beyond to make sure everyone was well taken care of. The level of service was exceptional. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and well maintained, and the food was excellent. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Today we had our Christmas team lunch here, second year in a row. We booked in advantage, gave a list of our foods, team were great at communication and wonderful accommodating our requirements. Table was lovely, cosy and we had so much fun. The food came out fast, hot and tasted amazing. Price was amazing too!! The staff were friendly and wonderful too. Highly recommend

Fabulous stay at Hare and Hounds for my niece's birthday party. Lovely room, very comfortable and nice food and drinks. Outstanding service from Max and his team, over and above expectations. Thank you very much Max, diolch yn fawr

Found the staff very kind and helpful. The pub decor is also lovely. Our food was good. I was however surprised the kids chicken burger was spicy, when not stated on the menu.
