Woodside Farm Campsite . We came across this campsite by accident while looking last minute for a nights get away. Reading the previous reviews made us nervy but in actual fact this place was just what we needed, calm and tranquil with stunning scenery. The shower and toilet block 1 shower and 1 toilet in the ladies and the same for the men's are in a shed and although it needs modernising in general, the shower cubicle itself is modern with great pressure and lovely and hot. The electric hook up points are evenly spread so your not all on top of each other. Huge open space for any children to run around. The owners could not be any more helpful or friendly. This is a basic camp site but one that is incredibly peaceful and well worth a visit if your looking to escape the crowds. We will definitely be coming back and next time will do one of the many walks available here.
If you are into "wild" camping, this is it. No frills. There are electric hookups, water taps, and portaloos, and that's it. Owner is a farmer. Nice quiet location. Adults only, though, as it's on a working farm. A short walk to the nearby pub down the road will sort you out for a good hot meal and a drink.
Used to go to this last year as very reasonably priced for what it is, a sloping field with a shower and toilet, and with porta loos scattered around, my friend made the mistake of using one that was full up and had been for a long time, they took £15 off me and £20 off a friend for hook up , good for view and a get together, but honestly this is terrible, felt unsafe as their were road workers living there in caravans, never saw them day but all came out at night with motors coming and going around 1130pm and kids running around and air rifle being taken from cars to caravans and motorised scooters, we went to bed early locked our doors and couldn't wait to get away in the morning. Owner has nearly doubled the price with no facilities, no shops, no investment, after all why would you, it's just a field .
If I could give no stars I would! It's unfair that people can lie on their website. Don't believe them when they say they have refurbished their shower and toilet block. They haven't!! It's an old shed! At £20 per night is extortionate for what you get. Just a field with an electric point.
The single portaloo was full to the rim literally the grass was long and the whole site was on a slight slope. It is in beautiful surroundings though and no one came to take any money off me so it was at least still good value.
The worst campsite ever! Portaloos were full of spiders and didn’t flush, grass was up to my knee in places, full of midges. A health hazard for anyone staying.
We read the reviews and upon arrival were disappointed to find that the site seemed to be occupied by long term or permanent units. We therefore had to park in the adjoining field which was very overgrown and neglected.
It should be no stars the site should not even call itself Hampshire holidays more like Hampshire Horror!!! It was that bad we pulled in then drove away. How can this site even be rated It should not even exist.
Lovely spot but £10 per person is a bit rich for a site with no toilet
Lovely views nice walks pub close. Nice people who run it.
